Any success with alternatives to FEP for Vat film? I tried 3 kinds of PET film, 2 thicknesses of 0.1 & .127mm. It is optically much more transparent than FEP so I thought it might allow lower exposure times. It’s also much harder & scratch-proof than FEP. All good, right? However, I found that its stiffness greatly increases peel-force & end up with many failed prints & split models with some parts on BP & some in vat. I tried loosening it down to 250Hz tightness [compared to 300-350Hz for FEP] but that caused vat to leaked after 2 prints. So unless I can find Optical PET film thinner than 100microns, I’m done experimenting with it. I have some Epax “non-FEP on order to try out.
