Hi guys, i just joined the group because i received my new photon S yesterday.
Sadly the first thing i noticed was that anycubic apparently doesnt provide information on the new file extension .pws. which locks third party programs out from working
Is there really now workaround for this or any good third party software to use currently?
If not I'm actually thinking of sending the printer back, as this makes it almost unusable for me.
The Software from Anycubic, in my opinion, is miserable especially regarding support settings and handling

i just bought the photon S and immediately upgraded the firmware as any customer should do.
So then i tested a bit and found out that the support configuration and other settings are miserable in your slicer software compared to for example chitubox.
Compare the auto support from your slicer with the chitubox slicer, its a massive difference. Also there is no hollow option in your slicer.
So i installed it and found out that you don't share information about your pws file extension, preventing your customers to use third party software.
Conclusion is, that I'm thinking about sending the printer back - because it is almost unusable with your standard slicer.
What will you do in the future (and by that i mean fairly soon)? your whole community basically doesn't upgrade the firmware or doesn't buy the new photon S because they fear that they cant use the chitubox or other 3rd party slicers anymore.
This is ridiculous and non-friendly to your customers.
Waiting for a reply, before thinking about purchasing a competitor printer and sending this one back.
