So last night I made a rookie mistake. I was in a hurry to get a print going before I went to sleep and I didn’t check to make sure my buildplate was tightened. Usually I tighten it when I put it back on. This morning I got up and went to remove the prints and the knob was just loose. The buildplate freely moved through the entire print.

I assumed the entire print was going to be ruined. The supports had wiggles in them but somehow then prints were fine. I could tell the first layer or two shifted as the pad had a thin flap of cured Resin on one edge. But here are my prints still wet from the rinse.

I’ve started grinding up my cured supports to use for basing material. Anyone else have ways they reuse their plastic scraps?

Curious if anyone has any experience with how temperature effects the post cure print. I recently started using Siraya Blu after using almost exclusively Elegoo Gray and on a whim instead of completely cleaning my vat I approximated a 50/50 mix and did a quick test to see what exposure times were needed (can leave same as just the Blu). Anyway the supports are noticeably harder to remove and the Blu seems to have added some strength. After the IPA rinse I sometimes use a hair dryer to speed up the evaporation. This time I left it on high and the print became extremely flexible, like rubber. I then took it straight to the curing light. Can this “temper” the resin? Is this a good or bad thing? I’ll report with my findings but I was curious if anyone else had experimented with heat as part of their curing process.

It’s been about a month since I replaced my FEP. I haven’t had any failed prints, I’m using Elegoo Gray and I haven’t had any issues with build plate adhesion or anything like that... here’s the weird thing. Everyone has said to be sure to remove the film from BOTH sides of the FEP. I read that after I gad replaced mine. I only removed one film. Is there any other issues this may cause that I haven’t noticed? Should I leave it for now? Thoughts?
