has anyone tried filling a hollowed out clear print with ice resin to produce a solid?

FWIW: if you are printing very slight variations on files, so close that you can't immediately tell them apart. 2 possible solutions are to download files for models of numbers and put them on the raft as very slight relief. Another solution would be to add extra supports on one. I prefer the former. I almost posted on asking how to tell them apart before and that was my solution. Hope it saves someone time.

Odd happening. I sliced in Photon Workshop 2.1.20.RC1 (only settings I changed are under the exposure times) and it ADDED SUPPORTS. They are not in the STL, but they are in the pws....I went back to repeat it and it does repeat...but I don't know why...any insight?

I have a sudden error that has me dead in the water. I've been printing everyday. I upgraded my firm ware a month ago to 3.4.1 and 2.6 for UI. This evening, I suddenly got a "failed to open file" error. I'm using the thumb drive that came with the printer, which has never given me an issue. It was printing 90 minutes ago. I was starting another print and boom. So I tried to see if it was just that file, and swapped out a file I printed several times last week. Same issue. It's the only file on the drive.

Any insights?

2 questions about the latest version of photon workshop?

Did the print xy area change slightly? i ask because I had a file that I save from months ago from before upgrading that fit in the print area that is slightly outside of it today. I can't make heads or tails of that.

I know Single Layer settings were a feature of the new software but I can't find anything on them with googling because the keyword combo is not unique enough...can someone please (thanks in advance) point me to a good resource on them?

Hi All. I'm trying to understand some quirks of the various tools to tighten up my workflow. I used search to see if my exact question was already addressed, found nothing. Apologies in advance if I missed it.

I'm on a Photon S. Using the Photon Workshop Slicer on my first and 2nd prints. I have not updated the firmware. I tried to load a file after slicing it in the slicer off the anycubic site and my printer gave a file format error (I found references to that so I changed course). That file I had already been checking for Islands using the File Validator. However, I can't seem to open any of my workshop produced photons files in it.

I can work around this. I'm just curious if anyone can offer insight. Keyword searches didn't offer enough options because the only really unique word I could search was Validator..all the other combo words are too common.
