Hi guys, another christmas noob here. Forgive me if this information is readily available somewhere but I've searched and read lots of articles, posts, reviews, reddit and I've seen the excel sheet. I still need help finding a general consensus on a reliable resin brand and colour for printing detailed tabletop miniatures.
Brand:
Wherever I look I get mixed messages about most brands. Some people say Elegoo resin is more consistent than Anycubic (the Elegoo Grey is seemingly popular). Some people also say Anycubic resin is more brittle than Elegoo but sharper details.
Colour:
Some people say transparent resin blurs details but some people say it works better.
I personally liked the green translucent bottle that came with the printer, it also didn't smell much. Recently bought some Anycubic Maroon which was cheap but it stank to high heaven, was noticeably lower detail and about 50% job success rate.
To be fair though, I've only had the machine for 2 weeks so its almost certainly user error.
