Okay time for another 1:48 scale Atlas update. We're near the end of building the test model and now I get to go back to the 3D model and correct all the mistakes. 3D printing still has a lot of issues to be worked out that can make it difficult to create perfectly symmetrical items in some circumstances. In this case we have compound shapes that have to fit other compound shapes. And while one thinks that in the world of 3D this kind of thing doesn't happen it does! so the trick is learning that when you print you may have to print it a second time to understand how to make the flaws go away.

TIME SENSITIVE: Anycubic has the photon on sale for $249, but that ends in 2 hrs 40 min. Are these sales recurring, or should I jump now because it's 40% off vs. the manufacturer list price of $419.99?

I've done like 2 hours of research into this, and I'd like to do more before deciding on a printer... but $250 for a 3D printer is really hard to say no to.

This is printed on my Photon S.
What do you think is going on here? Most of the outside details are coming out fine, but the hexigons inside are a bit baffling. OriginallyI thought it might be a bit underexposed, but some of them fill up as the hexegon tubes getting longer towards the top and bottom of the test, which looks like overexposure? But you can also see that tops of most of the hexegons drip down which makes me think they're not being exposed enough?

I might use this to RERF test.
