I had a failed print overnight. Two small figurines, one half printed before it does of the plate. The other showed less and less detail as it progressed, which I attributed to a thin film of cured resin over the entire build area of the FEP.

Is this indicative of light leak,or a haze in the FEP?

Hi all. To get regular successful prints sticking to the plate I had to bring the printer inside to a room I can warm up to 21 degrees. This of course means fumes. So I have built a filter that uses 2 x 50mm 12v fans to force air through 2 vacuume cleaner filters. (1 x hepa and 1 x charcoal taped together). The difference is enormous and I can continue to work in my study without open windows or headaches. If you want the files they are posted on tinkercad.com in 3 files Photon rear vent flange, Photon rear vent fan and Photon rear vent filer.

I'm looking for a bit of help in managing my own expectations. I've gotten some pretty insane detail with the green Anycubic resin, but I hate how the supports shatter when snipping even prior to curing (IPA wash, then soap in the sonic cleaner).

I keep seeing great results for Elegoo Grey, but my own experience so far is that details are just a bit softer. Can the Elegoo grey get as precise as the Anycubic green? Is it just a matter of dialing it in further?

Hi there Community,

I am new here and own a „Photon“ since today ?
I hope I will geht some information and tips for beginners here and of course some nice models to print.

I will test the machine tommorow, especially for Tabletop, Dioramas and Busts.

Greetings Moritz Moe

Who has tips on stacking files to print on multiple levels? Think of buildings with multiple stories...of files.

I'm going crazy with Chitubox trying to support small edges. What am I doing wrong? I do auto supports in prusa slicer and then slice it in chitu, put it into the validator and fix a few areas that are bad.. or trying to.. The island in this screenshot is impossible to add a support to. Is there better slicers out there to work with? I'd love to add the supports in prusa slicer but it doesn't allow me to see layers as I add supports so if I'm not doing it wrong it's useless for manual supports. I hope it's a user error :P

Hi guys!

Glad to be on here!

I'm new to the Anycubic Photon still, having it for only one week. I've been having problems with the black resin on the bases for my minis.

I've done the exposure test from GitHub and it told me 18 seconds exposure. I also set the bottom exposure to 80, off time to 4, layer thickness to 0.05, and the bottom layers to 8. The rest of the print seems to be fine. I've only got issues with the bases, whatever orientation I have them in (0, 45, 90, 180 degrees) I've definitely got it leveled, as it was perfect with the green resin before and the paper test was spot on. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

All the best,
Luke

I am curious if you guys have any suggestions for adhesives that could bond metal to a standard resin? Is super glue the only good option? I need to hold some dowel pins beyond just a tight fit.
