Has anybody else tried making a mould from 3D printed items using two part high temp silicone?

The silicone isn't curing on the contacting faces, making a horrible gooey mess. The resin I'm using is Elegoo Grey.

Doesn't have the problem when recasting a metal or plastic part so it's made me think it's the resin.

I've also tried painting the printed part in citadel paint. Then covering it in turtlewax. Still no luck.

Any suggestions I'm welcome to.

Yeah it won’t work, you need the other type of silicone or like an Air blanket spray

Luke Palmer sorry was typing quickly, I meant cure type. I believe you need a tin cure silicone rather than a platinum one, or it could be the reverse, its been a few years sorry

Yeah pretty much, I always get confused as to which to use for UV Resin moulds, its either Tin Cure or Platinum but I haven't done it in a couple of years im afraid.

Hi guys.. I've recently moved my Photon inside with extraction, but I've been having problems with items falling off of supports.

Are my support settings wildly off? Would anyone recommend any changes... Or is this an exposure length problem?

Has anybody found a source of replacement fans for the Photon? Mine is now getting very noisy and I'd like to replace it. (Removing it is not an option due to my extraction system)

Sorry to post again so soob...I'm having more layer line issues again, and with three different models.

Now I'm thinking this could be Z wobble. The tank and lifeguard were printed upright, whilst the bottle cap was printed at 46 degrees on it ?

Any votes for that? Or is there something in missing?

Sadly I can't show the supports due to the slicer files being on the USB on print at the moment.... And I'm not sure if I can backwards engineer them....
