Hi all. Has anyone figured out a good fix for the lumpy texture that forms on the side of larger objects that face the build plate?
Other threads on this topic seem to fade out with no clear answer.
I’ve tried adjusting the orientation of parts but even at a 30-40 degree angle there is still a lot of distortion on that surface.
I’ve tried multiple resins and multiple exposure times with each to see if the issue stops, but nothing helps yet.

OK I'm going fanboy again I don't care. Artisan Guild is making this for us for October Epic Boss release. Now I have someone to fight the Demon King! I'm going to do a set piece for my D&D group where they witness this battle (to a stalemate) to start their adventure!

This will be a HOLY CRAP! moment for my adventurers!

last version of z-suite is working fine..i'm trying to dial in the overgrowth compensation and the exact exposure time so i get to make good printed threads..i'm still a little off but it's improving.

Hi, Brand new to this, so I have a simple question. The demo model that comes with the Photon (the lattice cube) prints without supports. But, the slicer generates lots of supports for my models. When do I need supports? How do I reduce/not use supports? TIA.

Hi everyone! I'm new at lcd printing, but I've read a lot of the groups experiences and I've learned a ton.
But... I would like to know if there is a way to print flat on the plate. I have a few waterline ships and printing them at an angle leaves a really messy bottom...
But my attemps have been unseccesfull.
It's at 1:2400 scale. Printed at 100 microns (test prints). In wanhao grey.
Does anyone has a suggestion to printing flat?

They will all yellow to some extent sadly

Haven't tried that one yet, I'm hoping to do testing with several clear resins this weekend. I love the idea of clear prints and I have some great ideas to go with them but the yellowing is an issue. Last resort is to print them and then cast them using another crystal clear resin, not ideal but should solve the problem.

Joel Mendoza no problem. I've done a print that was solid and it came out yellow. The thinner the walls the better the color

I hear the monocure rapid clear yellows less than the elegoo clear which yellows less than anycubic clear. Making sure your normal exposure is the lowest needed and you only final cure until the model is not tacky to the touch, and you UV protectant coat it after a couple days in the dark to off-gas.
