things I learned today:
1 - always tighten the hold down screws on the resin vat ?

2 - if you have uncured resin on your nitrile gloves and then go outside = instant chemical burn ?

So I have a concern with my 3D prints - after a print job I'll notice that there is a thin layer of partially-cured resin on the FEP, which I can scrape up without too much issue, and I will sometimes have thin sheets/flaps of the same on the models that I print, though neither of these things really seem to affect the print quality. Is this normal, or do I have some settings to mess around with?

Safe to say I’ve had better days, bought a second vat it leaked a little think this has loosened the vat, what do I need to fix this? Has anyone had this happen before?
Thanks

Looking for help on supports. I currently use Siraya Blu for most of my projects but it also allows for some flexibility so the item doesn't shatter. When printing large objects like this (large base of a figure) after hollowing i'd like to support it from the inside to make it more rigid. Is there any kind of auto-support setting for inside to help with that?

All finished and painted ships :) makes a mighty fine view after all the hard work of modeling, printing and painting.

Just received photon from amazon uk and over the moon with it. At the same time I order 1000ml of black resin ( no grey left). It has a date on the side for the December 2019. Is that normal for such a sort shelf life?

What firmware are you guys using? I see that there is a 4.2.3 on the Photonsters site - is that the latest one?

So I bought a Photon and, after waiting an unreasonably long amount of time to actually receive it (which is unrelated, but adds to my frustration), I started printing with it. The quality was great, everything was working like I expected it to, but then within three days of getting the printer I'm having a Z-axis malfunction, where it just won't move.

I've looked online and have seen a lot of similar issues, but in all of them the printer's fans and LCD are also malfunctioning. In my instance the fans and LCD work fine, and it's just the Z axis that won't move. I've tried power cycling and updating the firmware to no avail.

It might be relevant to note that I had a print going while I was out and about, and when I returned the print appeared to be partially-complete, still attached to the build plate, and the build plate was all the way up at the top of the Z axis.

I have relatively little experience in troubleshooting hardware, so how would one go about figuring out what the issue is?
