New captain photon user here, why does the slicer always generate supports under the model?

Hi. I've just finished printing off a stunning multipart figure in anycubic resin from the $$Special STLs$$$ FB group. I've cured all the pieces in the sun today and now find that some of the parts will not fit together. I've heard that resin can shrink on curing. Is there any way to make the cured resin pieces malleable again so I can bend them slightly so that they fit together better?

I was wondering what setting people use for their minis. I've gotten some great details but I'm losing facial details. What setting are you all using and do you have any have any suggestions that might help? (Still using resin that came with photon)
