Hello all!
I am brand new here, and brand new to the hobby.
I have a good friend of mine who, after showing me his 3D printer, has got me hooked! :D
I was planning to either get the Anycubic Photon, or the Elegoo Mars. However, the EM is not in stock presently.
I have seen great reviews on the AP so I went to buy it from Amazon, and now see that the coupon is gone. (There was a coupon attached that would save like $20).
Should I wait? Will the coupon likely come back?
Should I call Amazon and see if they'd still give me the discount?
I definitely want to buy from Amazon just in case there is any issues with the printer.

Given that one should give the resin in the vat a good stir before printing something, is there any way to program Chitubox or any other slicer to build in a few iterations of raising and lowering the platform at the start of a print to give it a stir that way? Not being lazy, I just think it might a be a good idea to do it on every print and I always have to use a tissue to clean the stirrer which seems like a waste to me.

Update: the wings are on! He can fly now !!!

Definitely my largest resin print ever! Artist Guild “The Demon King” (paid membership file) printed in Siraya blu with 20% Monocure flex added (.04 @ 11 secs) hollowed out to 1.5mm walls, and done in 6 separate pieces (not including the wings which I am printing now...then on to painting, but primed white for now. I was going to scale it smaller but decided to do it the size they released it at. Beautiful sculpting work they do on all their models.

So post print cleaning/rinsing. 99%IPA is hard to find around here so what about ethanol or denatured alcohol? I have also read mean green works. Thoughts?

So I’ve got a serious problem with my printer.

It’s unsolvable I think, and it’s wasting a lot of time and resin.

Basically the problem is with the seat to printer interface. It keeps making dumb mistakes and screwing prints up.

It’s forgotten to fill the resin vat.
twice.
Printed the wrong file off the usb stick.
Dropped the resin covered model on the carpet.
Knocked an almost empty bottle of ipa over .

It goes on but you get the picture.

Latest one was completely forgetting to tighten the build plate into the printer. Amazingly the print worked albeit a little wobbly looking.

Despite this the printer performs well, I think I heard it sigh the other day.

I’m expecting to find it on the phone soon to anycubic asking for rescue.

Hi! I wonder if anyone can help me with this problem, please see my picture from chitubox! The two marked lines that looks a little black won´t print. the line around has the same widh, hight and thickness but on the right backdoor and on the sidedor it wouldn´t print, any ideas? Thank You!

If I check the photon file in the photon file validator and then open it again in the chitubox I can see that no lines will be printed.

Used the photon and siraya blu to print these print+ headphone earcups and postcured in my diy uv box (prusa parts box with aluminum foil and led from amazon). The resin print actually has a functional thread and the baffle screws on perfectly.

Hello all I just started using elegoo grey resin on my photon. I keep getting these not fully cured blobs and I have to clean the vat every time because of some curing to the fep. Any ideas on why? I've included my settings as well thanks.
