OK, to finish off my testing of using pigmented powder in resin (see my other post), last night i ran a long print of approx 9hrs. About 2 hrs in before i went to bed, i realised i wouldn't have enough resin in the vat to finish the job off, and unfortunately i have ran out of green, so i topped up with Anycubic clear. This morning i could see that the model had failed on his arms, but this will be purely down to incorrect support settings IMO. I think the pigmented resin is a viable option for anyone wanting a paint fleck in their models. The only other observation is the concentration of powder seems to be greater at the start of the build (This would make sense because the powder will naturally sink to the bottom fairly quickly). This is no means the end of testing for me and i intend on trying some models using Anycubic black at different concentrations of pigment.

Well put what I thought was enough resin in the vat. Set print going then got called out. When I got home the print was finished but sadly half head missing as printer must be on a very slight incline and no resin on that side. Well now trying Maroon but will need more base layers it seems as first print is detaching from plate on the one side along with need to have increased exposure times. But at least it is partial sticking to the plate at the moment :-)

Getting some strange prints of late. with lines in them (chunks of lines that look more like gouges) along the print.

I did a screen test and this is what I saw.

Its coming along:) this is straight of the of the printer tight after removing the supports before uv curing. I still need to sand some bits off.

I still figuring out physical mesurement for parts since some of the fingers at that size were really really frail and I broke one while cleaning it with ethanol. I am think building reference bounding box for the minimum size I can go down before become too small and frail what you guys think? It would help prevent on top of consiouly adapt my sculpting for those cases.

A lot of printing and testing these days more to come!!

Hi, I have a Photon and it worked fine until the last print some days ago, now it freezes when connecting my USB stick that worked with the printer before, the printer sometimes makes a long beep sound. I formatted and double checked the USB drive without luck, I will, of course, try when I have the opportunity with another USB stick, maybe someone of you had the same issue and can help find a solution a bit easier. Thanks, ^^

Hi there! After some recommendations on this channel I am starting to see some results.

I have some concerns though

1. Is it normal scratches has this vivid white?

2. Can I remove them?

3. When I cleaned the Model with IPA alcohol it looked better, like polished. After curing it turned more opaque. Can I add it some treatment to improve it?

4. Finally, is it normal for transparent resins to turn a little yellow-ish after curing?

I experimented with blending colors. Ideally it would have been a black rose with grey tips.It came out well, just not all around.

I am going to try again and use a syringe to better place the resin.

Are there any recommended resins to use other than Anycubic????

I would like to find more colors and cheaper prices.
