hey good folks. hope you all had a great holiday. I have yet another problem with my trouble wrought machine. this is the 3rd time in two days the print has done this. starts out perfect then the gremlins set in. so much resin wasted. start to finish there was no stopping/pausing. does anyone know why??

We should all start adding slicer and printer setups with any successful prints, screen shots of the settings. This would help with all of us being able to get more success with our prints. Particularly the new comers.

Hi all first post! I received my Anycubic yesterday and am super impressed with it! My first foray into lcd printing was with the sparkmaker and I was disappointed with the kickstarted machine I received. This however is brilliant!

Here is my Skyrim inspired daedric warrior for Kingdom Death I sculpted in zbrush. Sample green resin, stock settings. The photon is a joy to use!

Very happy with this Albert Einstein! It still needs cleanup but looks nice.

I think I got his nose too close to the print area though. It's flat!

I think I might need to adjust the slicer, I didn't touch the "Red Wall of Death".

Thanks for the add.
How “Durable” are the parts printed with standard resin? Drop proof?

I will be making a few chess sets and in my family when a piece is captured we just knock that sh!t off it’s square and it lands where it lands.

Also, been searching the group for what to purchase with my printer; shop towels, gloves, respirator, UV light, a tub for alcohol baths. Any other consumables or replacement parts? TIA

So I’m feeling more confident with my printer, not having failed prints anymore and I’ve got hollowing sort of down.

That said I feel these print better vertically than on an angle, as angled seems to leave some half cured residue on the inside of turrets and some other issues, with the settings I now use I have zero issues with it coming off the build plate.

Other issue I’m running into is during cleaning, where the models fill up with IPA and water via the vent holes, anyone have fixes for this other than punching an extra hole in the bottom to drain?

Just got this new Anycubic blue. What do you think? Think I need the walls slightly thicker. I hollowed to 1.5mm. But I love the color and it came out pretty daggum nice.

My first ever 3D print. Just shows how preparation is key. Also a big thank you to other members who mentioned tightening the FEP bolts prior to printing ( nothing in the instructions that they are loosened for transit ). I'm thinking that this was a 100% success as nothing was stuck on the FEP and no apparent residue in the resin when filtered back into the bottle. I'm not getting carried away, l know this is the start of a long journey. Even longer as my wonderful wife also bought me an Ender 3 for Xmas which was a complete surprise. Hopefully building it this afternoon.
