I'm new to the Photon, can I leave it outside for printing? Tried to print indoors, fumes were too much.

Definitely wasn’t planning on making a bunch of mini succulents when I got my printer, but here we are with some prototypes. It was fun using my airbrush for the first time in 6 years.

Is anyone interested in a photon , I only used it for 3 prints. Shipping from hawaii... I just don't have the time or place to be using it right now... worked great for the few prints I did!

Two weeks on and I am loving this printer (apart from the resin costs) for the last 5 days it has been printing solid making components for a new FDM printer I am modding. I have printed hinges, door handles, smoother pcb boxes etc. Without tempting fate it has worked faultlessly and I haven't experienced any sticking issues since taking the advice from this page and its helpful members. Am still getting brown tinted clear resin after curing but it looks quite nice :-)

After checking all mechanical issues and some fixes i thought the difficult cases are solved.

Well, seems i'm far away !

Never thought there will be soft-/hardware issues.

I loaded PhotonSlicer 1st on a laptop with Windows-XP.
PhotonSlicer is not starting at all, even i downloaded the newest 32bit version.

2nd loaded it on a newer laptop with windows7 6tbit.
PhotonSlicer loads but shows only slicing window but no model.

On booth computers i run without any problens Rhino.
Also other3d tools like "Spin3d mesh convrrter".

I dont get it, that simple PhotonSlicer seriously is not running while much more sophisticated 3d-software runs without any problem ?!

Is there any other free slicing software compatible with the printer or a fix to make PhotonSlicer run on one of my laptops ?

I'm not really in the mood to undust my old workstation with super graphics card and tons of ram just because PhotonSlicer is not designed for out of e pocket laptops.
I mean, we're talking here not highend hard- and software !

What are the symptoms of zeroing z axis too close to the plate ? (Eg. I use a very very thin piece of paper Vs a normal piece of paper)

Hi, my black resin just arrived. Did some tests with a part that on Friday printed just fine with clear resin. Now with black resin all tests so far fail. Mostly because they do not stick to the print platform properly. I tried increasing the exposure time for bottom layers to 90 sec and normal layers to 15 sec and that seemed to help quite a bit but the prints are still not usable.

Anyone any experience with the black resin from Anycubic3D?

Has anyone ever tried Print Studio - Ember software for creating supports and exporting the model as STL ? Let me know your thoughts....
