So you've been getting great prints, life is good, the zwobs are nowhere to be seen. You decide to clean your vat. You undo the two little red knobs as you've done hundreds of times before.

You pull out the vat, but, the LCD screen and the fep film have been together for so long they fell in love and decided to stick together! Till death do us part! So as you remove the vat, the LCD screen gets pulled out together.

They get stuck usually because of resin leaks from pinhole tears in the fep film. Or humidity, heat and moisture between the screen and fep can stick them.

An annoyance mostly, but disastrous too at times, especially if you damage the lcd flex cable. Or in a recent accident, a group member had her cable completely torn.

You can avoid this costly calamity by carefully twisting the vat left and right before lifting it slightly, ensure that the fep is not stuck before slowly pulling the vat out.

True blue adherents to the Blue Plate will tape the edges of the screen securely to the base plate. Special bonus! If you have a resin spill, no worries that resin will get into the grooves and leak to the insides. Not just any old electrical tape though, none of that gooey nonsense, and it's too thick to boot.

Kapton tape, 10mm wide and 100µm thin works best. Completely prevents screen lifting with your vat. Thin enough that it won't affect the clarity of the images, heat and chemically resistant. Matches the new yellow windows too!

Hi, I just got my printer new last week. Details are great, but I keep getting bumps/dents on sides of my model train. First one(A) is 0.05mm/10sec/1sec and gets dents every approx 11mm interval. Second try (B) was 0.03mm/10sec/3sec and dents every 15mm interval. UV resin is Anycubic green.
What should I do to improve the quality? Any hints would be great. Thank you.

Left some resin in the vat for about a week or so. Looks like one of the issues it caused is it made the FEP film sag, so had to replace it. Anybody know what happens to resin if left in the vat for that long? Doesn't seem to have hardened, but I'm not getting good bed adhesion. Not sure if due to resin or another issue.

Better z axis?

Hi everyone, after so many tests (really everything I read here and online) I could not completely eliminate the z wobble so I was thinking of changing the z guide with HIWIN and it would be nice to change the threaded rod with a precision one, but it would change the steps/mm which i believe can not be changed, right?

Has anyone already done some tests with different guides or similar things?
Do you think it worth investing in these tests?
