Yesterday and today two prints failed. Honestly, I was thinking that people are a bit over cautious about the stock USB drive. But it seems that people are right that stock USB drive is really bad quality.

I've tried to transfer the photon files from the USB to my computer to see if the files were OK and voila, the first file that stopped gave an I/O error on computer. The second one was transferred without any problem but i decided to check it with Validator and voila again, the file was corrupted where it has stopped.

So if any new users reading this, please just throw the stock USB drive (or just use it on unimportant personal file transfers) and use a quality USB drive for the printer.

Hey guys

I ran into a problem after i changed from the standard green resin to the grey one from Anycubic.
With green i used the standard settings and had no problems so I wanted to print the test file with the grey one to find the best curing time and all I got was a flat layer.

Which settings should I change to optimize the functionality?

Found that Resinaway, while much better at cleaning, has a worse lingering smell than IPA. Decided to upgrade my post processing area to an enclosed space (I’ll work on removing supports and cleaning on the bottom shelf). Local buy and sell for the cabinet, some duct work and a separate in-line fan, and I now have a make shift fume hood. Even installed a 120V power outlet inside to not have to run cables out.

While I could put the printer inside. I already have sufficient ventilation on the printer and I wanted a ventilated storage area for the ultrasonic cleaner and other materials. If I made it large enough it could also be used as a workspace

Finally got this fumigation case done. A very expensive project considering the acrylic is museum grade. It has 2 high power fans pulling air in and pushing air out (these are the same fans that are in the traffic light control boxs)

Hi all. Joined the group a short time back. My Photon arrived Wednesday. I have two two filament printers already, so wanted another option for printing. Reading the posts here made it easy to get my first print. My UV lights don't get here until tomorrow, and the sun has set. Okay if I leave this uncured print in a dark place until morning sun?

Why all the angled prints?

Well, first test cube out of the way and need to learn how the Photon slicer works. Being (like most of us) in the FDM world for some time, why do people orient the models at angles off the build plate? Is it to do with print quality?
