After replacing the fep sheet for the first time and having prints fail I went back to basics and recalibrated settings. Even though I'm using the same resin I've had to push exposure time up from 9s to 11s to get successful prints.
First big print came out nice. It is about 110mm high. Zephyros the giant for the D&D campaign my group is playing.

Something i noticed is that I'm getting far less banding than on previous large prints which I had assumed was down to z wobble. This isn't perfect but way better. I wonder if problems attributed to z wobble are actually due to again fep sheets that are stretching and not reacting in a consistent manner across the whole sheet.

If anyone else is having z wobble troubles, how old is the fep sheet, maybe try replacing it to see if that improves things.

Just got my photon today, but it's making a terrible screeching noise when moving down (but not up). I take it this isn't supposed to happen. Anyone know if it would be a simple fix or should I contact support?

Finished a print, removed bed to remove the prints and cleaned it. Still some resin in the tray. Can I just reattatch print bed and print something else, without doing Z leveling all over again?

I'm getting real tired of failed prints due to supports or islands. I have used the Photon File Validator and tried to "fix" islands but surely there is a support system or program or whatever to use prior to it that will actually work better for supports.

I have created supports with Meshmixer and those prints fail. I have created supports in the Photon Slicer and it fails.

It's not a bed level issue, I don't think, since I have run prints using the same settings that have printed flawlessly.

It's not a time issue since, as mentioned above, I use the same exact settings as successful prints.

So I'm at a loss. The only thing I can figure is that the supports do not stick to the bed well enough.

Base warped ever so slightly. Level the build plate? The bottom of the supports came off the build plate too, but the build was successful over all.

hey - is there a post anywhere that explains what changes need to be made to print at .02 successfully?
