Bucktown Polymer Resin EP200-V420-FF

Here is my assessment-
Now that I feel I have it dialed in (there could be better settings) it is working pretty good. I think it is clearer than the Wanhao clear, but both are a bit yellowish. The Bucktown has an almost amber look too it. The main difference that I see with my prints at least is the Wanhao resin looks cloudy compared to the Bucktown resin. Neither are even close to what I see others getting with the Monocure clear- Monocure clear is the defacto standard in my opinion.

Pros-
Bucktown Polymer resin is very inexpensive. With shipping it came out to $37 a liter.

Shipping was quick, from placing the order to arrival at my door was around 6 days.

Maybe I am nose dead, but it doesn't smell any better or worse than any of the other resins I have used so far (Anycubic, Wanhao, and now Bucktown).

Cons-

Only comes in a metal 4 liter industrial type can. You will need spare bottles (I recommend completely opaque ones). Make sure the resin is mixed well by shaking the hell out of the metal can before pouring into the smaller 1 liter (or less) bottles.

From what I understand, it only comes in clear and they give you dye for the color you purchased- so it does not appear to be premixed for color. This could be a pro or con- you get both clear and colored resin with one order! However, if you need really crystal clear parts this is not what you want.

Last con for now- Customer service doesn't seem to be the greatest. They sell mainly in large volumes to industry so the orders they get from the home user consumers is pretty much insignificant to them (at least for now, wait 5 years when 3D printers are in every house). They don't seem too receptive to calls or questions, and it is pretty hard to find any detailed information about the company. They are also listed as O.N.E. Technologies. That doesn't really mean anything bad though. It looks like they have been around for a few years.

Settings-

This is what is working for me:
Layer- .05 Bottom Exposure- 50 Bottom Layers- 8 Normal Exposure- 15 Off Time- 1 (This is the same as Wanhao Clear)

There may be better settings, and those also could produce a better clear (less yellow) but I don't know what those settings would be if there are any. I can't comment on settings for colored mixes, just the clear.

*Update 3, anycubic refused to give me any support. I have no choice but to take their offer to pay 1/3 of the price for new printer . Paid RMB900 for new printer and another RMB 500 for shipping . ... I really don't think anycubic is a honest company to deal with when to to support. I cheer their photon for 1month bcos it print so well, but after 1Month everything went wrong.

*update2, they asked me to pay 1/3 of the printer price and they will sent me the new one (shipping not included) They refused to send me new board /LCD screen.

I offer to buy the board + LCD but it cost 1/3 of the printer price too. They don't want to sell it to me bcos they can't guarantee the new board + LCD will work .

They insist for me to pay 1/3 of the price and they will send me new printer (shipping not included) bcos the new printer is tested before sending out.

*update1, Now they asked me to send back this 10kg junk to china ? . .

Received new board from anycubic, guess what IT DOENT FXXXXNG WORK.
First they sent me the screen, doesn't work. 2nd they sent me the board also don't work....

New screen new board , but no output ? .

Why anycubic sent out non tested parts ?

Extremelly happy for a month with photon, after that pure frustration...

Again nice results with this awesome printer! Pica in the UV Curing light. But one question remains. Even with slicer version 1.3.6 the print time still is not correct with actual print time. How is this possible?

I was wondering if anyone tried to analyse the photon files? (to see if they can in the future be produced with other slicing software)

Got a quick question for those in the know ? My prints are starting to go off at an angle (see photo, sides and centre section should be perpendicular to the ruler). Anyone got an idea what it might be? The table it’s on is level, the only thing I think it could be is the print bed isn’t tightened up as much as it could be?

Thanks in advance ?
