Just cracked open the dead PSU. I'm inclined that these DOAs are cold soldering joints.

The soldering work on these is obviously tank dipping and looks awfull. lot's of possible cold joints specially on the main transformer. power gets to the large cap since it sparked on my discharger screwdriver :P

One thing that is making me itchy is the use of a slow burn 5A fuse on a 6A rated PSU? My electronic skills are not master grade but shouldn't the fuse be at least the rating?

So, with a new bed, everything cleaned.... And using the settings as per the table for Monocure White, this is my problem.... Driving me a bit nuts now... Any ideas?

After trying to isolate the fumes and vapour in a an air tight enclosure, I am still getting allergic reaction from it. Since I have no other place to put it other than my bedroom, I have decided to let it go. I already posted the Anycubic Photon and the Peopoly UV Curing Lamp in Kijiji for $600cdn. I am in the Toronto area. I also bought a 4" Hurricane inline fan, 4" Black Ops carbon filter can and a 4" vinyl and aluminum hose if anyone is interested. I did one print of the Egyptan Knight Rook and really love the quality of it. Unfortunately, the health and environment do not allow me to use the machine. At least I had a bit of fun. Alright, back to FDM printing. Happy Photon printing you guys. Keep up the great printing. Give me a shout if anyone is interested.

I printed this rather large section of the Rocinante from The Expanse, and noticed someone shot several beams straight through the hull.

Now I can pass this off as battle damage but what is really happening here?

My FEP seems clean but it has a blemish from having to push too hard to clean off some resin but I don't know if this is that spot...

Could be.

But I notice several spots where is seems to be missing.

Could the screen have dead pixels?

I printed a miniature base without support and while it came out great, the bottom layers had "expanded" a bit more than what they were in the model.

Since I forgot to take a picture, I've added a demonstration image instead. Imagine that the original model was a plain cylinder and this image is what printed.

Is this due to the prolonged exposure time or does it simply print the bottom layers differently? And do the "bottom layers" setting specify anything other than a different exposure time for x number of layers?

If anyone have any input as to how to print this without this "lip" forming around the edge, please let me know :)

Hey guys was having some really good prints for a while then last night I'm having issues with prints lifting off the platform or the bottom layers sticking and the top layers staying stuck in the vat. Any ideas?
