I've had my CR-8 for over two months now. The Extruder and laser have not worked since day one. I have gotten no help whatsoever from Creality nor GearBest. I've traced the problem tthe main pcb. It is doubtful that the software is in error. I've eliminated the driver cards, motor and the cable being the problem. It's definitely in the pcb. Does anyone have suggestions about replacing the pcb so I can use my printer? If I'm going to put another pcb on it, then I'd like it to be compatible with all functions (I.e. Screen and laser). Thanks in advance.

I think you should ask the Creality 3D to send another pcb to you(because they supply one year warranty for microcontroller boards), or you can buy another one from them.

I tried locating them, but I couldn't find an email address or any other contact info for Creality. I'm going through GearBest, since it is where I purchased the printer from. GearBest says that they are not getting a response from Creality either. I a m so sad and embarrassed that I paid so much for something that doesn't work and all of my friends keep asking if I have printed anything yet. They would probably buy one themselves if I was successful, but they are surely hesitant to buy ANY 3D printer from anyone now. Do you have contact info for Creality?

That's impossible, because the service of Creality is very good. I think GearBest cheated you. Because I am also his one of distributors , I know they're very responsible for they're products. Do you have QQ or Wechat ? or I can help you get the email? BTW, where is your location?

Well, I finally had time to try the suggestions given to me. I preheated the hot end and, yes, the Extruder works and also the laser. Why does the laser work only after I preheat the hot end and/or bed?

My filament does not lay on the bed. I assume the hot end is to far away from the bed, so I'll look into making sure it is closer. 0.1mm?

One paper thickness, making sure the paper between the hot end and the heat bed is easy to pull, but also not tightened or loosely

Preheating is not necessary to make laser work. You can try to set fanspeed to 255, then the the laser will work.

Wow,thank you. I'll try it. I finally printed my first 3D print after adjusting the bed from the hot end to one piece of paper thickness. It is not perfect, but I will figure out what went wrong. Thanks again for all of your fine help and great advice.

Maybe your software setting in NB is different from CR-8 firmware. You should ask Creality 3D
