quite the monitor setup.

How do you like your Atom? Is that the 2.0?

It started life as a 2, now it's a 2.5EX. It's a very nice machine. I had it at work for a long time and used it in prototype - production. Now it has a new life at home!

Did you replace it with a different machine? Other than Thomas Sanladerer on youtube, I have only found limited owner reviews.

I manage the Skunkworks lab in ATAP for Google Hardware. So - we have pretty much every 3D printer made. Only have 3 in the "pro-sumer" class FDM machines. I consider this machine to be amongst the best in its class.

wow, too cool. appreciate your input, have been looking hard at this one because it has such good hardware. what us your opinion of the dual extruder?

Well... so, there is a bit of story with that. Mine was originally a v2, that was upgraded to a 2.5ex. Then is was a single extrider setup, it produced by far the smoothest FDM prints in the shop, including the $30k+ Stratus machines. But after adding the 2md extruded the quality has dropped. I'm not exactly sure why. It's still amazing, easily as nice as the Ultimaker 3, or the Pursa machine, but it's not as nice as is was. I was a bit bummed, but it's still super nice.
