Both. The original part was designed by someone else here and just had the knife holder. I printed the out and it worked great. So then I added the part to hold the gluestick. But I made the hole slightly too small - so on my second attempt I got the hole size correct and added the little hole for the hes wrench.

I also made another part that is a filament spool holder:

Here are pics of the modifications I made to the blade holder file. I added a platform to hold a glue stick and a hole to hold the most commonly used hex wrench. I also included the STL file for those who want to print their own copy.

This photo shows the bottom of a part I made that required support material. This is the first time I had Kisslicer generate support material and I was surprised at how heavy it was, even though I used the lightest setting - the first stop from the left of the Support On-Off slider.

It was difficult to pull off the support material and it left an obvious not-smooth bottom on the printed part.

I also ran this part through the Craftware slicer and it seemed to do a much better job of creating support - and it also lets you delete support material that you don't want included in the final print.

yes, unfortunately that is how KISSlicer's support function behaves. No matter the density you set, it will always create a denser support to interface with the object when it gets to just a few layers in proximity

Meshmixer的困擾..

不知是不是 support profile選擇不佳,或是其他問題..
樹枝長不完(中間被噴頭撞斷)..後面都直接開花....

不過看來重點部位還是有靠搖來搖去的花支撐到
16.5小時的工作...

NG的那時打出TMC2100搭起來加速度失速問題的樣子..
後來換步進馬達重新調整才恢復(也可能宇揮操一年下來有一軸老化故障了)

we currently don't.. it's a good slicer, the only problem is that it takes about 10 times longer to slice something.. so we gradually moved away from it.

I experimented with all the slicers before my Atom2 arrived. They all have their pros & cons of course. Kisslicer is the one recommended here and is the one I use exclusively. The other one that I also like is Craftware, but so far I've found bugs in i t that make me stay with Kisslicer.

Those bugs may have to do with how I have been generating my models and subsequent STL files. I'm just starting to get up to speed on issues like manifold models, naked edges, etc.

The nice thing abotu Craftware is it has by far the best on-screen visualization of what the generated GCode is going to do. This is very helpful in determining what the actual printed part will look like, and if there are errors or corrections needed before actually printing.

Another Craftware nicety is it's ability to save, export, and import all it's parameters via a single data file. This makes it easy to have different sets of parameters for different types of printing. Kisslicer keeps it's parameters in 4 different INI files, plus a 5th STL file that shows the current print bed.
