My screen cracked. I don’t know why the z pushed down further than it was set but I need to replace it. I guess I can join that club now.

Probably there was a residue of a print left there on the FEP.

the screen or the screen protector ? if it's the protector you can replace it if you carefully remove it from the screen

yes. the protector is separate from the screen anyway.

yes. make sure you can separate the one you have from your screen though. Worth having a spare screen at home as well, just in case

I have to Buy a new screen for my Photon due to a massive leak that destroyed my screen. Do I have to buy a Screen protector as well as a screen? Or does the new screen come with one?

I think the first few layers are sticking to the FEP. I can hear a crackling sound when the plate moves up after the first few. The bed struggles up and then seems to free up. The current print also seemed like the printer forgot where zero was. It kept dropping the print bed for two seconds despite a grinding noise telling me it hit the bottom. I’ll keep an eye on this one and then after, I’ll probably change the FEP and re-level.

Thoughts?

Damnit! Ran out of resin. Still trying to print this in one piece. I think it would print OK but the print started coming off the plate. If it hadn’t run out of resin it probably would have been fine though.

Any help appreciated.

I’m printing a model with Elegoo Grey. It was a little tight on the plate but nothing crazy. The supported part failed but the print recovered halfway through. It’s almost like the supports weren’t strong enough. I used auto supports with Chitubox.

I might try heavier supports or try Prussia Slicer first. I may also revert back to Sirya Blie.

Thoughts? First failed print in the last 10. Settings in the images.
