Hi folks. After some advice about these little holes that appear in my prints. I asked this question earlier on here, when I was getting both holes and lifting prints. Advice was to add holes to prevent suction and or rotate. I added holes, but still was getting more holes and lifting. So I increased the bottom layer exposure time to 120s for 30 layers and this seems to have totally fixed the lifting problem, but not the occasional hole (easy to fix post processing anyway, but knowing the reason would be good). These boxes have about 1mm thick walls, and are 5x5cm in the xy and 1.25cm in the z. Do I need longer normal exposure times, off times, or thinner layers? My thought is that white is gonna need more UV to cure properly than other colours.

These are mostly coming out OK, but with occasional small holes (seemingly, the application of IPA makes them appear). And some detach from the build plate (left). Longer exposure times needed?

Folks, does a material safety data sheet exist for the Anycubic resin? I need to do risk assessments to use my printer at work :(

Hi folks, I’ve been doing some initial prints with the Photon and I’m impressed. I’m looking to do a lot of prototyping of some simple boxes for some of my research, and I wonder what your collective experiences are with fast prints? I realise I can max out the xy without altering print times, so I guess then it comes down to exposure time and layer thickness settings: I imagine these are correlated, i.e. thicker layers require longer exposure times, but if these two variables aren’t directly related then I should be able to optimise speed? I’m printing with the Anycubic white resin, and have no option to change colour, but I could change brand. Also, my prints are almost entirely uniform in the xy plane, and have large bases, so I should be able to get away with no supports. Many thanks in advance for your help.

Hello Photon owners. I'm wondering what your collective experiences are with the limits of resolution in the x-y plane using this printer? I'm currently printing a lot of things in ABS that have the general form of lots of vertically-oriented crosses regularly arranged in small containers. I have little benchies that roughly look like the attached picture--combinations of progressively thinner and progressively closer together crosses. In the final designs, the holding containers will be cubic, and the crosses will be the full height of each container. In practice, I'm getting about 1 mm thickness and ~0.5 mm proximity as the max resolution with our printer at work. What might I expect with a resin based printer like this? Thanks in advance for your advice. ? ?
