So I had to do it, I had to sand my build plate down :(

Castable resin demanded it, last resort unfortunately. It was not perfectly flat no, but it never gave me problems with other resins. Now let's see if the BlueCast X10 sticks ?

Trying to print with BlueCast x10 and I see a recommendation to use a z lift speed of 40mm/m. Does anyone know what the Photon is configured to?

I guess the next question is, is the firmware easy to play with, it's closed source isn't it?

Bluecast X 10, I think I am looking at 20s exposure time. Any thoughts? I will be making earrings and rings on my first print which are not hugely detailed.

I am looking to run some exposure tests but looking through the docs section of the group I can't spot anything. What would be the best single file test I could run? Any specific models people recommend?

I heard good things about Phrozen resins for the Photon, so I had a few questions:

* I see that fepshop has it in stock, is this shop trustworthy or are there better places to purchase within Europe?

* Is the "ABS like gray resin" a great high definition resin for miniatures?

* Is their wax bluecast resin recommended over bluecasts own product line for casting precious metals?

Which gray do you all prefer? Monocure gunmetal, normal gray or Anycubic? I found that the Monocure normal gray is a little palid looking.

I have started using Monocure clear resin and I love it, it is more like the consistency of gravy rather than thick honey, so it is easier to work with, and I am sure it fills in gaps while printing better. However I have noticed that when I cure the prints, they turn yellow after a few short minutes of curing in a chamber. Is this innevitable or is there some way to mitigate the effects (I would love to have crystal clear colourless prints).

What are everyones favourite transparent coloured resins? I am quite happy with the green from Anycubic, but I can't see that they do other transparent pigmented resins.

My primary use for the Photon will be printing miniatures for painting and gaming, after getting the lattice cube to print well I tried my hand slicing in Chitubox, following some youtube advice about supports I got out a wonderfully successful print of the main body of a D&D Beholder. Just got the eye stalks to go, file slightly, prime and paint :)
