Follow-up on my current printer problems.
Made a test setup that I can live with (takes less than three hours to print, so it makes it easy to run a couple of times a day if needed).
Long story short, it's 11 small'ish skulls, setup in rows where the furthest away row have light supports and the one closest (with 5 skulls in the row) have heavy supports.
Across the lines, I have experimented with different kinds of contact shapes to see what worked the best.
I've attached a photo of the result as well.
The settings are based on 1) the test print I did a few weeks back and 2) the follow-up suggestion on adding 2 seconds to the exposure time.
Still get crap.
What am I - still - doing wrong?

So, back at this after two flawless prints.
- Warped supports
- Unfinished models (the shield of a lizardman is slightly cut off)
- Excessive heavy supports (Breaking off parts of the models)
- Light supports that does not connect to the model
- Very low detail level

What the heck am I doing wrong?
- No AA (haven’t updated firmware)
- AnyCubic Grey resin
- Settings from Google Sheet
- Room temp 20C, humidity a little High (>80%)
- Sliced using ChiTuBox (not the latest version, but only one version back)

So, it seems my FEP problems solved themselves. Did two prints yesterday and they came out perfect.

Now I need to print a range of "coins" for a game. These are about the size of a quarter and about 1/8 inch thick.

What is the best way to position these in ChiTuBox? Both sides of these coin have protruding images, so am I best off angling the coin at like 30 degrees and adding supports, or should I just keep it upright, raised off the plate and just a few support pegs to support it?

So. Bottom edge was supposed to be flat and parallel to the print plate. Obviously, it’s not.
I changed the FEP today, and adjusted it so it hit the same frequency (243hz) as the one that came factory mounted. Coincidense or related? Tough luck? First misprint in ages.

My turn - again - to ask a question. Look at these photos. They show an upwards facing ‘twirl’ at the front of three of four printed figures.
They were all raised 6mm from the plate, tilted 45 degrees, had sufficient heavy and light supports and the models are perfect in every other way.

What am I doing wrong?

Ok guys, weird question: I have two almost-empty containers of AnyCubic 405nm resin. One is green, the other white. Too little of each color to really print anything.

Can I mix those containers and get enough resin to keep printing until the mailman arrives with more resin?

Did a reprint, following all your wonderful feedback, and 5 of 6 models came out perfect!

However, as you can probably see, the halfling - the one with the flat circle in the middle of the mini - still came out weird.

Simple question: is it just me needing to excercise supporting the model more? (The one of the almost-perfect mini is for reference from earlier today)

My 8 year old daughter - whose character the model represents - just concluded that she could be a ghost cleric always walking with half her body underground ?

Hi guys. I just Got my Photon a week and a half ago, and it has almost printed non-stop since. Most of the printed stuff is very good but I’ve seen some strange results that I wonder is any of you can explain. I will add the models as comments and would appreciate any help or direction, but overall I use the same setting for all models yet with different issues and results. Thanks a lot in advance. Casper
