Purchased these interchangeable plastic blade knifes on Amazon and I must say they work a treat on the Photon build plate. The scraper that comes with the machine is pretty useless. If like me you want to maintain the original surface of the build plate without scratching it, I highly recommend this purchase!

Elegoo Green Resin.

Does anyone have decent timings for this resin on the Photon? There's nothing on the data sheet and after running the resin test I'm only getting results as far as 0.3mm layer height.

Any advice welcome.

Little printer helping upgrade big printer. Doesn't matter what I throw at the Photon it seems to deliver every time at the moment. Resin is Elegoo Black with an 8 hour print time (overnight).

Hi all. Does anyone have any tips on how to rid the prints of the white resin left over after sanding? As you can see on the image in my case this is in a hard to reach area. I've found that spraying the prints with silicone lubricant then generally handling them turns most of the print back to its original colour, just wondering if anyone else has a better way of restoring the colour? Is there any procedure to follow or any products that can do this?

Just an idea I had. £5 from Amazon. I'm getting this for any failed prints that stick to my FEP. I figure this will be a gentle and none damaging way to release the failed print from the FEP film, just smoothly rub over it from the rear back and forth until it releases. Good idea or bad idea? - Anyone already doing this?

Thought I'd share as I think it'll be the perfect solution to free up fails.

I replaced the FEP of my bath last night and possibly naively had it too tight, I had it flush when I put the small screws back in, then it would have obviously tensioned it even further when I added the larger screws and pulled it around the frame. To sum it up, it was very nice and tight, but can the FEP ever be too tight? I'm struggling to get the print to stick to the build plate now. I'm getting the pop for the first few layers then it seems to drop off and sit in the bath. Any suggestions?

I printed this ring at 70 degrees or so, my question:- would I be able to print this at 90 degrees so that all of the supports are on the bottom half of the print? Essentially this would then save resin and reduce the number of supports required. Any opinions?

Hi guys. Had the Photon a couple of days now and had some great results. I've been on this group a few weeks already too so I have picked up a few tips. I've run into a stumbling block though. Please review the attached images, I'm not having any success getting this to stick to the build plate direct, surely there is enough surface area for it to stick and hold? Any suggestions?

Currently just tried: 8 initial layers at 100 then remaining at 20 with 0.05mm height.

I seem to be left with a 1mm print in the bottom of my resin bath so it must start ok then loose it a little bit into the print.
