I'm at my wits end with this machine.
I ordered my anycubic last black friday. It arrived with a busted LCD screen, got the whole machine replaced quickly by amazon.
New machine arrived, I got about 8 good prints out of it then suddenly had these massive sheets of dried resin running through all my prints. Contacted tech support and asked online. Replaced my resin, checked all connections, took the thing apart and reseated the Zscrew. Tech support had me run diagnostics and failed print after failed print until they said the diagnostics were claiming the motherboard was bad. So they sent me a replacement UV light and told me to replace that (still trying to figure out how that was supposed to fix anything). 3 months go by before I receive the part, still getting these sheets of dried resin in my prints.
At this point I inquire about swapping out the machine or paying the difference to upgrade to a PhotonS, no deal. Finally after another few months I finally receive the motherboard the diagnostics said was the problem almost 5 months prior. In taking out my current motherboard i discover the connections are caked with glue. I do my best to gently remove all of the connections but as the connectors are between the side of the machine and the motherboard and i can only see one side, i miss some of the glue and tear a connector. I ask around online for how to repair it, try to find connectors etc, no luck so another call to tech support. Again I request to trade out the device or upgrade, no deal.
I just received the new connector today. I replace it with no problem, turn the device on and the following happens.
1 Beep
The UV light fills the screen
The LCD panel is blank
The fan runs on high
Let it run like this for about 20 minutes to see if anything else would happen. Rechecked all of the connections, made sure everything is seated correctly and snug. Unplugged and replugged let it run for another 20 minutes.
In a year, I have gotten less than 8 good prints out of this device, I can't get it replaced, I can't get the right parts to fix it, and it's gonna take another who knows how many months to get the next piece to try. I know this sounds like whining (and I admit that most of it is). But I don't fancy having a $500 paperweight. Does anyone know what I should do to fix this latest problem?
