I have a blue window Photon. I used it a lot when I first got it, then I put it in storage for a while. I had more successful prints than failures. Back then I printed most of my stuff straight on the build plate without many supports. If I did use supports they were auto generated by the default slicer. I successfully used the Green Anycubic resin then some Orange Wanho resin that took a little getting used to.
I've recently dug out my Photon and I was able to print the fat round ship in the first image using Anycubic Green resin. I realized the supports were coming off the build plate, but it finished printing. There were also 3 other items on this print that failed. After cleaning off the supports I realized the fins/engines on the missiles didn't print. I assumed it was because of the leaning issue. Don't know, but using Meshmixer I was able to isolate and print them. After some cleaning up I glued them to the ship. Yay!.
I zeroed and leveled my base plate, updated the Slicer software to 1.3.6 and tried reprinting the 3 failed items (penultimate pic). 1 only printed the outline of the supports, 1 printed about 25% of one "wing" and the 3rd printed about 75%, missing the first 25% (the "wings"). So they were all over the place. No pics here. I then decided to try something else.
I then tried printing the three small fighters. 2 printed about 20% (the same sections no less) then failed. The other printed about 75%, but was missing part of a wing. see pics. I don't know why.
So here I stopped and zeroed my base plate again and updated the Firmware! Then I started printing the Anycubic trial piece. After about an hour I saw it was working and stopped it, Yay! see pic.
Next I read a lot of posts on here and downloaded and began using ChiTuBox and the Validator. The model I chose had several errors, but I fixed them (see last pic) and tried to print again using medium supports. This time my print just stuck to the FEP, not the build plate-- nothing came out. I'm going to clean up the bed and wait for help. I don't know where to go from here.
It seems when I use supports I get failed prints, however I'm using the standard settings that used to work (a year ago). I seem to keep getting worse and worse at this. Any help would be appreciated.
