Ok guys........ my UV light died today.

I have a print on the printer and even if I order a UV light today, it won't be here until Thursday via Amazon Prime due to Amazon here in the US being slammed with the covid-19 situation. I can not locate a UV light in a brick and mortar store around me, sadly.

Being in NE USA, we aren't getting very sunny days here yet, just starting into Spring really.

Do I try to cure the print on the printer via natural UV light (how long do I leave it outside? What time of day?)? Leave the print hang on the printer for a week? Call the print a loss?

I haven't been in this situation before, so any advice is appreciated !

Question guys....... and I am pretty sure I know the answer but I want to verify because Resin is not cheap.

I have had resin sitting in my vat for a little over a week. Was doing a large batch of prints and life got in the way and I forgot about it so it didn't get filtered and put back in the bottle. I hate to waste a half full vat of resin...........

Printer is not exposed to direct sunlight in anyway.

I should be ok to filter the resin and put it back in the bottle right?

Also, do I need to have any concern over what the resin sitting in the vat this long might have done to my FEP film?

Thought I would share my UV box idea.

Aluminum small trash can (foot pedal operated, easy to put models in without touching the outside and potentially getting resin/IPA on it) + UV light strands and some aluminum foil for the bottom.

I do plan on printing a translucent stand on my FDM printers to bring models up to the middle section (I'll be dealing mostly with 28mm models).

Enjoy the wacky idea lol.

Get build plate completely level, successful test print of the cube, put on gloves (not used to working in gloves AT ALL), dropped built plate in the IPA bin before I scraped the model off the plate........... cube lost a corner .

Its no longer level. Looks like I'm printing another cube.........

Ok guys. Photon got here yesterday..... I think I'm going in the right direction. Setup is just missing the UV box which I have to make (I had a genius idea, will share when its done!).

However to bring me to my question. I have installed the ANYCUBIC Photon Slicer, I've picked a test file (screw the cube...... lol). I have tilted, created supports but I do not see anywhere in the slicer to control infill, nor do I have the knowledge to create the hole in the .stl for drainage if I am not doing 100% infill. Little help?

So my Photon will be here tomorrow (had to take the plunge with that sweet $80 off coupon on Amazon). I'm coming over to resin printing with over a year of printing on my Ender 3's. I know there is going to be a learning curve, but hoping that my prior experience helps make it less painful.

That being said........... could you guys do me a favor and drop the best Youtube video's you know of with regards to learning / troubleshooting the Photon and resin printing in general? Just throw them in the comments, go on. You know you want to.......... :P

Trying to learn as much as I can today, so when I get it tomorrow I'm ready to go without posting a dozen questions here driving you all crazy :D
