Just received 2 bottles of anycubic green from Amazon with this date on them (2ish weeks into the future) which in assuming is expiry date. Guess this means I should return? Cc: Amy Liao

Ok, I've searched the group and didn't find a conclusive answer... Is elegoo "ABS like rapid resin" any different from some hypothetical "standard" resin? Every bottle I've ordered of "abs rapid", always says "standard" on the bottle. (not rapid). The pictures on elegoo website show bottles labelled "standard" as well but in the product title it says "rapid". I read in one post that elegoo only has one type... So what's the deal here? The resin settings spreadsheet seems to differentiate between rapid and standard. ? ? ?

3 months after getting into resin printing, first painting projects are finally starting to complete. Here's a look at my first 2 that I just finished this week! I'm stoked. The mech was a gift for a friend of mine who loves mech warrior. The dreadnaught is an homage to my past love for tabletop gaming in my teenage years.
Thanks to everyone who helped me get to this point!

P. S. Both models found on thingiverse.

Does anyone have any tips on how to prevent these issues with hollowing models in Meshmixer? 1) Tends to corrupt some surfaces (you can see the black triangles which I assumed are inverted normals and 2) it re-meshes a bunch of parts, which destroys sharp corners .
Interestingly enough, Chitubox does a better job in terms of preventing these issues, but it offers a less control in terms of holes etc.
Thanks in advance!

Has anyone tried to modify the ameratown validation print photon file (included in the resin calibration / exposure test package) using the Photon Validator and modify its exposure values? When I first open the ameratown photon file, it looks all good in the validator, but as soon I save it (even if I don't change exposure values) it gets corrupt. So when I re-open it, the first layer looks like the 2nd screenshot...with the weird fuzz on the side and every layer above it shifts around and changes direction. The only way this validation print is useful is if I can try it at different exposures (or at the very least if I can print it at the predicted optimal exposure from the exposure finder strip). Anyone know what's going on?

I searched the group for effects of AA on detail and general result, but most of what I see is on 0.05mm layer heights. Does someone have examples of it at 0.02mm? Both in terms of flat slightly inclined vertical surfaces and organic shapes like in a mini. Thanks!
Just not sure if it's worth it. I did some (inconclusive) experimentation myself and not looking great at first glance... And not sure if it's just me. I do both organic and sci-fi "hard surfaced" type stuff. Thanks!

Ok fellow Canadian Elegoo fans... what the heck happened to the Elegoo Grey on Amazon.ca ? See comparison of US vs Canadian site. I just ordered 2 bottles in September, and now grey is not available in Canada. What the heck.... Anyone know a good source to buy other than amazon? ?

I'm starting to use the Prusa Slicer and I gotta admit I'm impressed with the auto-supports on it, but I'm having trouble understanding this setting in the screenshot. In the advanced menu this same setting is called "Minimal Distance of the Support points" ..but it's still not clear. I've played around with it on different models and I See the the supporting structures are different, but I can't quite pinpoint what's different about them. It looks sort of like it affects support density in some ways, but there's a separate "Support density" setting, so it can't be it. I even looked at the source code (because it's open source), but the code is not commented so I couldn't make heads or tails of what it does. Any thoughts? Thanks!!1

Been printing since early August... And wanted to say thanks for all the help along the way and share some results. I've also been dablling with painting! My most recent and most complex print is that tripod, sci-fi gothic walker bike thing (from The Makers Cult on patreon) . It was such a fun experience and rewarding. 3 build plates full of parts. For those just starting out.. Keep at it!

How do you guys deal with ridges, corrugations, and other things like shown here. Each corrugation / detail is an unsupported island (Almost regardless of orientation in many cases)... Do you support each one? do you fix in some post processing (Validator tool) or do you let those small unsupported islands simply float away in the vat? :P Sometimes orienting a straight shaft vertically makes all these supported naturally, but then other details are forced to face the build plate, so not always practical to orient vertically. I've seen this sort of detail in numerous sci-fy-y models both on Thingyverse, and in paid models from the Makers Cult. Since it's such a common design feature, there must be a good way of handling it (or just not worrying about it). Thoughts?
