Printing Miniatures on the Photon or Photon S: what are the most crucial points (resin type, layer height, exposure etc) to get the best details and what process did you follow to get there?
With the printer working fine and the first minis coming of the buildplate I now looking for tips to improve their quality.

Help please.... I've tried 1000 times, but i've failed 2000.

Hi Guys, need a bit of a hand getting my initial test print going. as you can see in the picture it's a fair bit wobbly, but I'm not sure how to fix it, most of my googling indicates to change the exposure time, but I would have thought for the test model with the provided resin that should already be set up fairly well.

I had a previous print that failed to adhere to the build plate, but I managed to sort that by releveling it. I drained and filtered the vat, cleaned the failed print off the base of it but there was still some faint smudges even after wiping it with IPA. Could this be the cause?

The other thing I'm wondering is if the temperature here would have caused it? it was around 30 celsius in the room for most of the print with a high humidity.

Should also note it's a Photon S for any difference that makes.

I have become the UK distributor for EPAX resin printers. My initial focus is the printers but I am looking at stocking select resins, UV curing lamps and other higher end of the hobby products in the long run.

I’m a test and development engineer with 30 years in aerospace and defence. I have been contracting for a number of years as a limited company in that sector. I love printing, milling, turning, basically anything CNC. My next company purchase will be a decent laser cutter. My product range may spread in that direction in time.

After priming, it’s easier to see some of the layer marks here on the left figure. How can I improve? Fiddling with the slice settings? Or should I just expect to gently sand the modes to get the smooth finish? The right model isn’t printed it’s just for comparison ?
