So, admittedly I am like a major novice at 3d printing and also specifically using the photon but I keep seeing people talking about supports and I thought one of the advantages of using a DLP printer like the photon is that you'd be able to print things without supports. Any clarification would be appreciated

Has anyone got a suggestion for auto-supporting? The built-in one in the photon software is awful, and I have to spend maybe 20 minutes per print manually fixing it.

Ok so completely new to resin printing. Can little information on exposure times on the web and last two test prints have failed at the base. Printing at 0.025 in any cubic green. Can someone help with printing times please?

Ok, here is something I’ve been thinking about. When printing directly on the plate, can/should you reduce the “on time” for the base layers? I know it is to promote adhesion but it seems one or two base layers should be enough...it will either stick or it won’t....

Anyway, your thoughts are appreciated. I’m going to do some test at some point but I have a priority project to complete first!

Anyone having issues with print shrinkage on Z? Working on multiple different files on two separate machines, everything is good and even on supported areas but once the print hits about 50% it’s getting compressed (?). Max of a 1mm difference between top and supported bottom on a piece a total of 30mm high.
