So I currently have a photon. My wife had requested I get another resin printer now so I am after advice and some pro and cons between a photon and a photon-s to help me decide which is going to be most suitable. I mostly print minis, models (like xenomorph) and board game upgrades like meeples. Just cant decide if the photon -s is worth the extra.

This may seem obvious to many but was new to me. I normally buy the nitrile gloves at my local supermarket that are about $10 AUD for 50 gloves. I was looking at a local medical supply shop for some scalpel blades and found they sell nitrile gloves in boxes of 100 for $9. So if you haven't looked at other places to buy them, its worth it. Hope this helps people.

Where do other Australians buy their resin from? I usually get it off the anycubic eBay store but they've only got the dental castable resin in right now.

Otherwise is the dental castable resin fine for normal applications?

I'm playing with the printers tonight... This is a print that I've been meaning to try- But didn't think would work.

It's print in place chain mail. And, it works!

I had to flex it a bit to free it up after I removed it from the bed, but it moves freely now. Pretty cool.

Quick question... If I'm wanting to mix resins, is there a recommended way? I'm curious on if I would be able to pour different color "lines" when the plate is raised up... Or would that cause problems?

So I've been printing with my Photon for a while now, and love it (mostly), but in my last three prints I've had a weird glitch appear - about 3-4mm off the bed I get a mesh-like single-layer appearing in mid-air. I've checked the slicer file, and it doesn't appear in that, and several of the supports just stop when they reach the "mesh", which means that various parts of the finished model just haven't appeared.

I'm using the default Anycubic slicer (I know, I know, use ChiTuBox), a SanDisk USB stick, and Anycubic Green resin and default exposure settings, although I don't think it's a resin/exposure-related problem. My bet is that it's either an error somewhere in either the slicer file or a problem with the printer.

Has anyone come across anything like this before?

Question related to resin prints in general regarding jewelry, are prints made out of resin safe to wear (things like rings, pendants and earrings)? My concern is skin rash or anything of that sorts. Obviously I would finish the prints with a coat of primer and rub n buff or something similar. TIA.

so, how does one submit a support ticket to Anycubic if the store they bought from isn't in the drop down menu?
