Hey guys!

TL;DR: LCD showed nothing (even UV-Detection not) until i restarted my printer.

So i just got my Photon today and did the testprint from the stick which worked perfectly fine.

After that i wanted to print one of my own files and after 1 hour, when the plate got over the vat, i saw that nothing was printed.

So i immediately stopped the print and there was nothing in the vat either (i thought that it would have peeled off or so). But there was not a single piece of cured resin ANYWHERE.

Then i took out the Vat and the buildplate and restarted the printjob "dry" and voilá the screen isnt showing anything. You could see a liiiiiiiiitle bit of backlight from the UV so that seemed to work nice, but the screen is "black".
I did the UV-Detection in the Menu -> Same result.
So i restarted the whole printer and redid the "dry" printjob. Now it worked perfectly fine...

I haven't tested the real print because it's quite late here in Germany. But what could this be?? Is it possible that the cable came loose or is this a known issue?

So I'm reading more about the resin test. Looking on the paperwork about it on the GitHub I found wording I didn't quite understand. Maybe you other photonsters can help me out..

Under Column Number where you are trying to figure out your exposure time, it says "Layer time". Does it mean to be layer height? If not, what is layer time?

Hi everyone.

Why when a import a stl file into Photon Slicer it shows much smaller? I made a model in 3ds Max and exported the stl but it`s rescaling my model when I import it. I setup the Display and System Units to millimiters in max but it keeps doing the same. Any guess?

So my photon started squeeking, guess it needs some tender loving... What do I use to lube it up? I think I read somewhere that WD-40 is a big no-no?

I bought that eSun yellow bio-resin on a whim about a month ago, and just finally tried it out because that is who I am as a person.

My dudes, this is legit good resin. I used the same settings as my usual go-to, Anycubic Grey, and the eSun had great detail, printed perfectly, and is not at all brittle post-cure - it's solid but with a tiny bit of flex when bent. I had one support that I misplaced running along the side of a part and I had no problems slicing it off easy peasy, where usually I would expect part of the support to shatter off, possibly leaving pockmarks behind.

I think this might be my go-to resin for printing wargaming stuff, if not for the hideous yellow color which doesn't photograph well.

While on the cons, also, it seems like it's impossible to pour from the bottle without getting a ton of resin into the threads - I kind of hate the containers.

That being said the pros really outweigh the cons, I like it a lot.

8/10 would print with again

Anyone knows if the prints are aquarium safe, or if after 100% curing off course?
With my FDM I just use PETG and that is safe (even PLA but it "reacts" different to water) , also some epoxies are safe after complete curing.
So was interested how it would be for DLP/SLA resin prints.
