Recently got a Photon off of eBay (Open Box) and finally got everything setup ready to print and noticed the resin "Best Before" date was last July...... should I save myself the trouble and order some brand new resin, or will it be alright to use?

Are there any alternative cleaning liquids to use in a ultrasonic? Resinaway fumes make me so sick and alcohol is suppose to be dangerous. I use monocure rapid if it matters...

Hey all, I've been seeing some posts about how the new firmware for the photon makes the z quieter among other things and was considering updating. As with most new releases of OS/firmware/software i'm a bit skeptical of issues. Can anyone who's updated tell me if there are any issues that are new, unfixed or otherwise, or even if there are other cons to updating? Thanks in advance

So my Y-wing model i printed last night lost a load of definition where there was no adhesion to the build plate (about a 2cm by 2cm region at the back right of the build plate), the rest of the model had no adhesion issues at all.

checked the levelness of the actual plate and it is indeed flat, checked my z=0 for flatness and height and its exactly the same as when i had done many previous good prints with no issues. (cleaned everything out before last nights print), any ideas what could be causing this?

Model was rotated to 45 degrees off the plate and every other part of the model printed perfectly so dont think its an orientation issue.

Thanks in advance for any help!

I had a weird bug today with my Photon-S. So I've started a print and after a first layer it just stopped printing, and the control screen was completely unresponsive. I turned it off with a switch, took out a build plate and realized I forgot to screw in the VAT ? Cleaned the build plate and VAT from a residue, started again and the same thing happened with now a secured VAT. Tried a dry run and it seemed to be printing, tried with a resin and it seems to be printing normally now. What could it be? USB stick or a photon issue?
Also, my settings are (if its at all relevant):
0.05
5 bottom@120sec
normal 4 sec@ 1 sec off time

Also, the first layer printed out and stuck to the buildplate like normal. And I am using a SanDisk usb stick not an included one.
