Which resin would you recommend?

I have easy access to Monocure and Wanhao resins, so I’m really asking about these ones and which colour you’d think I should go with.

Do transparent resins capture detail better than opaque coloured ones?

So far I’ve used Wanhao yellow and white, and the yellow seems to capture detail quite nicely. (Similar to the Anycubic Green everyone uses). The Wanhao White however seems to cure thicker and with softer detail at the same settings. So I’m not too keen on it to be honest.

Any suggestions you have would be helpful!

Is this the result of too much resin in vat?

It is just a big solid block

When you cut supports, do you do it before or after UV curing? Heard of people using both, (before sounds weird)

And to get the support area to look flawless, what level of sand paper do you use?

If i cant get the support area to blend correctly and have to paint, what paint adheres better, and do you scuff the surface before painting?

Im sure i can look up my questions, but to ask and have a conversation with people is easier on here...

That's it I'm done this anycubic grey can go suck a dick, I'm going back to my old faithful clear green.
When I used clear green I had no problems since I swapped to grey I've only had problems. In clear green I filled build plate to edges and everything was perfect, in grey if I leave a 15mm gap round edges perimeter still fails!
Has anyone else experienced this?

New owner here; The test cube printed fine but my first attempt at a mini resulted in 2 little blobs of hard resin, 1 stuck to the film and one to the plate - what did I do wrong?

I tried and failed miserably to print the vat cover on my photon yesterday. I cut it down the middle and tried to print them vertically on a raft with supports. I lined the edge with supports and also the angle as well. It seemed some of the supports pulled away, and I got high vertical waves in the flat surface. I'm guessing because the thin lid was wiggling. Any suggestions on how to orient this print for a successful print?

I am printing my first non lattice cube print and I thought I filled the vat to the 1/3 level but the resin is going pretty high up on the build pate in-between the base and the plate. Is that too much or is it ok as long as I clean it after before it cures

Started a project for a OpenSource Esp ParaSite for the Photon

The idea is to use the ESP01 Slot on the photon to get power and create a webserver on the ESP that logs things like temperatures and led life hours, on my machine i'll use a UV sensor to log the on time of the LED and also provide info on the UV power of the LED

This sensor is to be placed in the bottom hole of the snoot, also out of the box I want to have 3 temperature sensors one for the housing, one for the underside of the machine and one for the outside machine temperature and humidity.

I'm getting my dashboard inspiration from this brew panel for raspi :D

All ideas and contribuition are welcome
