Just got my Photon and tried to print the lattice cube on the USB stick. I think I got the bed levelling squared because I get fantastic adhesion on both prints I tried, so that's not an issue. However subsequent layers failed almost completely on the first attempt and on this second attempt is half broken.

I was trying to minimise user error to see how it prints, I used the pre-made lattice cube, the official resin that comes with the printer, the temperature in the room is very pleasant, prob around 27c. Why would this be happening, is the model just poorly sliced or am I missing something?

So I’ve had my photon for a few months now. Without any major issues. However this week I’ve had two major issues-

1: so I noticed a large puddle of resin oozing out from the bottom of the printer. It seems that my tank has sprung a leak in the corner.
I can’t figure it’s due to poor quality fep film or reaction. As it’s not in contact with the build plate and was installed evenly and only used for about 7x. I fault for not checking it over before printing. Also a pain in the neck cleaning it all out.

2: experienced a lot of heat coming from the bottom fan and the screen becoming increasingly warm. So I decided to take the led heat sink apart and noticed that the thermal paste was really poor quality and done dry. So cleaned all the old paste off and applied new thermal paste. Problem seems to be solved.

Okay so, about to get my very own photon this weekend. I know the basics of operating one cause we have one at my job, but any suggestions of what else to get thats on the cheap (emphasis on cheap) end for post processing? I was thinking a dremel to easily sand down the little support breakoff points at least.

Edit: please note I'll be doing lots of figurine making, so if you've got any suggestions for that end of PP, lemme know!

looking for some advice on orientation/supporting this model, ive tried printing it flat to bed but got some warping, and printed at angle and got warping along the bottom closest to bed. The back will not be seen so heavy supports on the back side are a possibility, thanks for any help!

Do you guys thing I can build a moonshine still in my back yard for the purpose of making my own alcohol so I can clean my resin prints? Think that will fly at all with the po-po?
