Using the clear green resin that comes with the printer. About how long until the smell dissipates from cured prints? Is it specific to resin type or just in general? Also are there any concerns immediately painting or should I let it gas out? Thanks!

Been seeing this more and more lately, even on models that printed beautifully before. I don't see any reason why this one would fail, that hole goes all the way through, so their shouldn't be suction forces. I don't think there is any way to rotate that to reduce the surface area.

Not sure what to do

Hello, I have been thinking about pulling the trigger on getting the Anycubic Photon but had a question regarding operating temperatures.

If I get one I would have to store it in my garage which can dip down to 5° Celsius (41° Fahrenheit) during the winter. Does anyone operate their printer under similar temperatures, or know if there would be any issues storing the printer in such temperatures?

Thank you.

Noob question guys...what happens when you click pause during a print? platform raises and you can refill resin? is this a good way to see if print goes right (first layers correct etc...)? so you stop print and don´t waste resin...

Hi all,

Had my photon for about 2 weeks now done a number of prints and while I'm really happy with the results, theyre not always as perfect as I would like but I get that I'm still learning.

The print last night has an issue with the Top? surface (the one closest to the build plate - is that top or bottom?)
It's lumpy and uneven, all other surfaces are perfect.
I even removed the supoports while washing it to make sure I cleaned off any surplus resin but it was already cured (at least partly).
Dont have any pictures with me unfortuntely but I can post one later.
The item is petty much a hollowed out cube approx 15mm.
I printed it at about 30 deg with the opening facing down (away from build plate)

Im going to try again tonight with a few different ways of placing the item on the buildplate, having read posts here for a while I have my theories as to why it happend but was hoping for some input from more experienced people.

My key thoughts are that

1. It was too close to build plate
2. Too shallow an angle / Bad orientation

If i have a hollowed cube can I print it with the hollow end attached tot he build plate? or will that cause problems when it prints the layer that will close it off? surely the hollwow would just fill with resin then?

Thansk for any help
Gareth

GUYS! Remember to re-level your plate regulary! when you take the plate out and remove the prints with spatula its easy to dislocate the plate and get it out of level!

BECAUSE IF YOU ARE A NOOB LIKE ME - you don't tighten the shit out of that bolt!
