So the printer arrived this morning and its running the cube test print now. Machine is very well made and finished .... oh and I quite like the smell ! Just hope I have set everything correctly (fingers crossed)

My First ever Photon prints. No 1 stuck on the FEP. Scary experience for a beginner, but it's not so hard to remove, and now I know how to do it...
I guess that the build plate was still factory greasy, cleaned it with Acetone. The 2nd and 3rd print were not bad, but had somme Mesh errors.

No 4 & 5 were fine, but there was still a leveling problem on one corner of the build plate, but fortunately the support leveled this error away.

I made a new z0 again, increased the bottom layer exposure from 50 to 60 and turned the resin vat. Then No 6 came out absolutely fine.

So: 1/never give up 2/ clean a new build plate with hard stuff 3/ print with support when you can 4/ watch the mesh structure

I am making mainly Model train parts. This is a flimsy pilot ("cow catcher") and a streetcar front. Scale 1:87

Hi guys,

Noob question here: should I add raft without supports or later it would be hard to separate piece from it?. It´s a piece that doesnt need supports but I prefer to add a raft so it sticks better to bottom part...
