I purchased gray, clear and white Esun General Purpose Resin a while ago as it was cheap.
Overall i liked the outputs from all three, especially from the gray one (the skull i shared in the group). But the calibration test shows that they are slightly slow curing resins and for best results all of the three need around 20 seconds. The white one i tried has best spot between 4-5 numbers at 6-to-60 test which is nearly 26-27 seconds for 0.050 thickness.
I printed this model before doing the calibration test at 15 seconds. It seems fine but i believe i will get better result when i go up to 24-26 seconds. Is there anyone tested this brand and got different results?

Hero Forge minis printed with the stock settings. The resolution was set to .05. Scaled and sliced with the photon slicer.

Hey guys,

Back with another question. So on my second attempt my two miniatures printed but one thing was amiss. On the figure in the picture, the pipe in his mouth didn’t print. It’s a 28mm mini so the pipe stem is tiny, I’m kinda not surprised that it may not have gotten purchase. I don’t have a picture, but I printed it at 45 degrees face up. I couldn’t add a support under the pipe that went to its chest. I’m not sure why. Maybe because it would have been too short? I was thinking of turning it on it’s side so a support would just go straight down do the bottom layers. Any suggestions?

Settings were: .02 layers, 6sec exposure, 20 bottom layers at 8 sec exposure.

Researching in advance of my Photon arrival. Couple of questions ... What alternatives if any are there for slicing and how do you hollow a print to save the resin. Am very familiar with FDM but SLA is a new start for me. Thanks in advance.

Good morning phontonsters. This is a pseudo update of this post

To put in better context, I recently changed the FEP film of my printer, and went back to anycubic green resin (there wasn't any gray available at the time). For reasons, all my tilted prints, at 40ish degree, showed bad prints on the base, as evidenced by the heroforge paladin (which was my 2nd attempt, my first attempt showed a dragged effect on its shield and some missprint on the base). That's when I decided a calibration test was due.

Printed both the test and the dead spots test (which showed a perfect print, thankfully), and after getting a razor blade and not a spatula, I ventured to print full vertical on the ranger print. I think I found the right settings this time, as its pretty much perfect, other than badly placed supports on my part.

Just wanted to showcase for the people reading around having problems. Keep at it.

(winged helm broke on fall, disregard)

Man seriously. After all the issues I've been having with my new Ender 3 I REALLY appreciate this printer that much more. Once I properly leveled this machine ONCE, and got the screw tight and the fep film was set properly every single print I've thrown at this guy it's handled with flying colors. I even left it alone with some clear resin in the tank for like two weeks, decided to print something at random. Resin was still liquid because of the UV blocked windows so I hit print and bam, perfect. I was REALLY expecting it to fail considering it was resin I left there with no lid and I didn't even stir it. I've been having so many issues with the Ender, starting with the damn build plate being not level.

So now I gotta buy a piece of glass to fix that. And I already ruined the default base because the Z-stop didn't do it's job properly and made the nozzle pierce the buildtak surface. Jeez, why include the thing if it's gonna fail anyway? I was right when I disgarded people that said Resin printing was more complicated. It looked easier to me (with just some extra post steps), maybe it's just a case of winning the lottery in terms of build quality with my Photon whereas I lost that with the Ender, but boy is this easy to use compared to that thing. To be fair the Photon is more expensive, but I'm comparing one of the cheapest resin printers to one of the cheapest fdm printers so I think it's not an unfair comparison.

Lets see, testing if rotation to 45 or 90 makes any surface difference to moire pattern on organic parts.
