Hi, I'm printing my first pieces with the anycubic photon and I have a little problem. The impressions give a small jump when they rise as if the piece was at the bottom and takes off, then down the z-axis and does it as steps, not constant. It is normal? I have tensed the fep-

Any good sites or pdfs that a newbie can read and better understand this type of printer and all the processes involved? Like how varying wavelengths can affect prints and what's best to clean model after printing? And do I need a ultrasonic cleaner? ( read that somewhere )

Man I love this printer. Haven’t had to do anything to it. Just slice and print. Default print settings. Anycubic gray. Hollowed in Meshmixer. This is a downed speeder for SW Legion.

Any ideas in how can i solve this issue? It supposed to have supports, but instead the base is attached to the model and the supports that were supposed to be there never are there

This was one of my portfolio piece from years ago. I was thinking to do a body for him but couldn't have time and was sitting in my hard drive for a long time. This test print made me to think about working on it again because the result that i got with Photon is so motivating! Hope you like it too.

Modified top side to make it a wacom pen holder =) .

fepshop.com sells FEP by length. The standard grade is of good quality, just as clear as the original from Anycubic and after using this for a week I see no real clogging of the film.
If you are printing lots of high detailed mini models, they also have a top quality (optical grade) for even better detail.

Vinicius Silva asked me to post this automatic heating solution. Warning - This requires cutting wires, drilling and some knowledge of electronics. Get someone to help you if you don't have this experience. The heating elements are self adhesive and are attached to adhesive side of the magnetic tape and then magnetically attach to additional magnetic tape on the Vat so the Vat can easily be removed. 1 heating element may work but the vat heats up quicker with 2. Each heating element is 12 watts. 2 heating elements will only draw 2 amps so the 6 amp power supply is more than adequate. Warning -The strips get very hot and can burn your fingers so make sure to let them cool down before removing the vat if you need to. The temp sensor is held in a wire holder made from a large paper clip which is then screwed down with the existing screw that acts as a vat stop. Note the angle of the holder. It allows the vat to be placed so that the temp sensor is in intimate contact with the Vat. I have found this placement of the sensor to be good for regulating the temp The aluminium vat is a good heat conductor and will transfer the heat very well to the resin. Set the temp to 31 degrees Celsius as I have found this is a good temp for dental resins. Make sure the heating element is attached to the vat before plugging it in as it gets very hot. The power supply for the heating element is plugged in to the temp controller and will cycle on and off when plugged in. Very important - Do not leave this on unattended. I actually recommend plugging the Photon and the temp controller into a power strip and turning both off when finished printing or whenever the vat is removed. Heavy duty mounting tape used to attach the hardware to the back of the photon. I assume no responsibility - use at your own risk. It is low voltage but I don't know everyone's skill and knowledge level. Total build time about 1.5 hours. A list of parts and Amazon links is below. Oh. one more thing. I built this while wearing the t-shirt in the last picture. Enjoy.
