does anyone have any experience hollowing out STL files in meshmixer? I've been trying to follow guides online but it's not actually working. I'm not sure if it's me or something with the file. I was looking to add drainage holes in a specific place on the item and it looks like I can't really get that either

Only 50 pieces left. I've printed over 1800 military miniatures in the last 3 months...

Finally! Piaggio Albatross 1:72 scale. Harz Clear Model and Anycubic Green. Pity about the lines on the tailfin and other near flat surfaces. There's no orientation trick that will help? I can see the body of the tail turned out a lot better in terms of lines.Guess it will need some delicate sanding.

Just getting everyone's input...

Are these okay to use? They are .127mm thick and the original FEP is .15mm.

Is anybody using an ultrasonic cleaner to make the dirty job done?
If yes which solution do you use and what are your experiences?
(I have just bought one cleaner and learnt quickly that don´t put your bare finger inside the water during operation because it hurts a lot...)

Having had a very bad experience with the XYZ Nobel resin printer I have tended to keep away from them and keep my old Ultimaker going. It's now beginning to cause a lot of problems and is going to cost a lot of money to upgrade. I've been impressed with the rviews and comments about the Photon and am considering dipping my toes into the murky world of resin again. I mainly model N gauge (2mm) trams so the small build plate is not a problem but before I order the printer is there someone in the UK with a Photon who is willing to print one of my small models for me to see how it comes out - I will of course pay any costs involved but I wouldl ike to test print one of my models before moving from FDM. At present I do the prototyping on the FDM and then put the prints up to shapeways, but their quality is getting rather variable these days so would like to become self contained if possible. Thanks in advance

I think my problem was the heat. It was very hot in my house, pushing 90degrees inside! It's cooled off some and the printer has been sitting idle for more than a week now and I tried one last time to print the bottlecap and success! I printed 2, one flat on the bed (before nothing was sticking when printed on the bed with no supports) and one at a 45 degree angle with supports. I did two just in case one failed I might still be able to get one. Both printed perfectly this time!

I still need to change the FEP but things are printing again. My FEP is starting to get cloudy, but I've seen people show worse. It's time though, it's been 2 months of nonstop printing and I lost track of how many prints I've done. I can say I have gone through over 5 liters of resin!
