Did I (almost) overfilled the vat? Felt like I poured the whole 250g bottle in there. The manual says „1/3“ but it is actually less then that?! ?‍♂️

my photon at 0.035 seems to have few details, what settings to use to have a maximum resolution with anycubic resin? is there a better resin?

I do model and prop building (well trying to). That's what brought me to the world of 3D printing :)

I have a bunch of the old Hasbro Star Wars toys that I will be building up and accurizing, like the HUGE 1/18 scale X-Wing (I have 8 of them so far, shooting for 10!) The are around 32" in length so pretty big! I also have a couple of those huge Millennium Falcons as well as Tie Fighters, A-Wings, and Y-Wings. Here's where 3D printers come in and why I love them!

I just scored another ship for dirt cheap because it was missing some parts. No problemo at all... I can just print the parts I need :)

Has anyone ever tried brushing a thin layer of resin on a PLA print and putting it under the UV light for a few mins to get rid of FDM layer lines. As an alternative to say xtc 3d?

I had the idea when filling little support holes with drops of resin the other day but haven't tried it yet. I was surprised at how super fast it cures when filling holes. Maybe somebody else already has tried?

My first test print with Anycubic black came out smaller than I intended, so I decided to paint it. I’m pretty happy with black so far.

It's alive! (and now has a brother). So I re-attached everything, leveled it, changed the FEP, cleaned it down and after an awful squealing, re-lubed the rod. (Think I would have learned that in high school... Ba Dump-Dump-Cha) It's running through its cube print now, but I can see the lattice work and it's turning out just fine! For the moment... everything is plugging along swimmingly.

How would you guys orient this model for best results? I've tried it at different angles but something always turn out wonky (the bottom) I guess maybe I just need more supports?
