I am truly loving this printer. The smell doesn’t bother me too much but it does bother my partner so oh well. Stay out of the office. But at this point I’m just wasting resin l printing anything I can think of.

I really in truly appreciate all the support I’ve gotten from all of you.

Now I’m just trying to see how big I can print before the print fails.

Just finished my free bottle of Anycubic Green. Great prints all round! Cannot find any more Anycubic so bought Wanhao Green. Used the settings as per spreadsheet (0.05/7/4/50/8)...Disaster! Most of the supports, especially 1mm ones did not print. Bed adhesion and bottom layers was great!
After searching this page I made the following adjustments: 1) Shook and shook and shook the resin until my tennis elbow returned 2) Changed the normal exposure from 7 to 8. Print came out much better but still some of the smaller supports missing (not even stubs on the bottom layers).....and the print remains tacky long after print and post-curing.
Any advise please!

Any idea why this has happened... All the support materials have disappeared... It's stuck on the base ok.... But the bits attaching to the model have disappeared.
Made the model fail obviously!

You can see the part on the left, where those dimples are, that's where the supports started.... but just disappeared!

A few infos that might be interesting:
There are right now two interesting Kickstarter campaign.
This campaing provides you STL files that can be used to print 1:72 size (and other scales) models on a 3D printer. Well those campaigns are fully funded already and expanded their offer by several additional stretch goals. As a 1:72 wargame tabletop player I can only recommend you to back it before the campaing ends... only a few days are left.

Kickstarter Nr. 1:
https://www.kickstarter.com/…/ww2-printable-terrain-for-tab…

Kickstarter Nr. 2:
https://www.kickstarter.com/…/the-battle-for-berlin-3d-prin…

Also a new shop is trying to enter the model kit market. This offers you the chance to get 1:72 kits from Attack extremely cheap and the best part is, all of the kits are listed according our army lists:

Hi, finally got a break in traffic (time to print one of my own pieces that i modeled days ago.) and I am happy to say it went well, almost 9 hours (Anycubic White, 0.04mm 8 btm at 65sec, 11 normal with 2 sec off-time), there is almost no banding except on the top (actually the bottom but printed up-side down). I think the Monocure White is crisper/cleaner looking, the Anycubic is more like ivory, Some new things I have done, I have given in and have now sanded my build plate, when I was sanding it I noticed it was not completely flat as some sections were sanded back to alloy and some spots still had the blue. Cleaning the VAT, I now only use paper towel to soak up the IPA but don't move the paper towel on the FEP, just place it in the vat and press slightly, turn over and soak up the rest of the IPA, then I use a glasses wipe (Spectacles cleaning cloth) works great. Changing from 0.05 to 0.04 layer height appears to help, longer print times, but better results. still working out the difference in exposure times ?? Stronger supports, I was using medium but have changed up to heavy at 30% then adding medium supports in a few places. Adding extra supports, the Photon slicer Desn't often let yoy put them where you want/need them ? so I now edit them- using a support near where you need one and move it to the correct location and then replace that one you just moved. Using the Photon File Validator " https://github.com/Photonsters/PhotonFileValidator " Awesome app ? ? I have found on some big prints you may find places where there should be supports, if you edit the red bits / remove them manually and save the file, then open that newly saved file, you may see that there are new spots that need fixing "this is a indicator that more supports are needed" especially if there are in places you already fixed manually before saving, I found with this print took 3 go until I got it correct, repositioned / tilted the print slightly and added extra supports a few times until it passed the validator ? and you can see the great result :) Happy printing, hope you have some wins, it's great when it all comes together.

I was thinking of buying the same type of rail and a very long lead/screw stepper and extending the print height to 300mm. Does anyone know if there are any limitations bar the settings in the firmware?

Anyone able to download the Slicer from Anycubics website today?

Got a new PC, and have been trying to download the slicer for many hours. It downloads ~10 mb real slow and stops. Downloaded gigs of other stuff in the meanwhile.

Anyone know any mirrors?

Hi everybody,
new to this groupe and new user of anycubic photon.
almost no trouble to get the first print in green resin to be ok.
But absolutly no luck to get a print with black anycubic resin.
a few layer stick on the build plate, then layer stay sticked to the film in the vat.
what setting did you use with anycubic black resin ?
and one last question. when making the leveling, they talk about getting some resistance when draging the paper.
what king of resistance? ligh or you have to go untill you can't move de paper ?
wondering if my trouble a caused by a too short or too long space between build plate and film in the vat
thanks in advance

regards
Jean-francois
