Hey guys!

These lighter markings on my mini, is that under curing or over curing? This is the first time I didn’t use the sun to cure, using a 405 nm nail dryer!

Hello,
I have question for you. I am searching power LED in HIGHER wavelenght than resins 405nm up to 500nm (yes, higher wavelenghts had small effect on resins too). In another words, you know any power LED without UV and blue light in their spectrum?

EDIT

I am thinking about LEDs like "warm white" but without UV and blue in spectrum, not single color LED, like red for example.

Well, since I got quite a big order for semi flexible parts, I ordered a bottle of Photocentric UV Flexible Black.
After reading many terrible reviews about this resin, I got a little worried.

Today I received the resin and tried my first print of the actual parts.
Luckily it turned out quite good actually! I really am positively surprised! ?

Below my finding and how I did it.

Resin came in, and after unpacking I did a quick sniff to see it smelled bad or not.
It's better than Anycubic, but more or less the same as Monocure Rapid to be honest.

As I read somewhere dark coloured resins need to be shook well, I shook the sh*t out of it ? .

I fired up Anycubic Photon Slicer and loaded 4 of the parts onto the virtual build plate.

After that I searched for the settings reported in this FB group and decided to give it a try with:
LT: 0,04 - NET: 20s - OT: 1,5s - BET: 60s - BL: 8

Slicing took a while and once done it said it would take up to 3,5 hours more or less.

Print started and when I got back home, the display said it was finished in 4 hours and some minutes. Not to bad at all.

And now the most nerve wreking part....how did the prints turn out... ?
Did a quick peek and I say the actual shapes as I loaded up!

Took off the build plate, put it straight in my ultrasonic cleaner with IPA and let if run for 2 minutes.
Then I took my Stanley knife and tried to take the prints off the build plate....Man, damn, these things are stuck...seriously, how?
I barely got them off without damaging them. With normal resin, just a pinch is enough to take them off.

Anyhow, afterwards I threw the prints back into the ultrasonic cleaner with IPA and let it run for 3 minutes.

Since I only have a nail curing UV station I put it there for 4x60s to get rid of the stickiness.
They still feel a little tacky, but not that much I believe. It feels 'rubbery' and it's quite flexible indeed.

All in all I'm really surprised about the result, in a positive way.
Indeed, it's a slow resin, but until now it seems to work.

Tomorrow I will test them on strength, but for now, I'm happy with the result.

[Update] Thingiverse link added!

One of the minor problems of the printer is the filtration.
The first fan leads the smell downwards, the LED fan blows it forward in your room.
The filter size is poor.
Even with a bigger filter at the rear plate there is still some smell blown by the LED fan as they are "sharing" the air.
I created this adapter which leads the air complete to the backplate.
Next step ist the CAD of the backplate an adapters for bigger fans, exaust pipes and so on.

Enjoy printing and leave a like there ;)

Hi again everybody.

Well, the Photon I ordered arrived today in terrible repair. It was a listing on eBay, so I do expect some wear, but it is a horror story.

To start, it was missing many pieces, and what did arrive had resin scatted on it. I spent about a half hour cleaning it before even examining it.

After examination, I noticed the FEP film is dented/smudged. The screen has permanent damage to it, the Z-axis is not on track (can freely move about) and to top it all off, the unit would not power on.

I've requested a return, but I'm entertaining a repair of all of this. I've seen how most of it can be done, but don't know how to solve the power issue. I'll link a video.

TL:DR
How do I fix a blinking red light when power is turned on. (Light is at bottom of Z-axis).
I hear a clicking and the control touch screen is not illuminating.

Edit:
I have taken the bottom off to try and fix the Z axis wobble, and the touchscreen connection was broken. The black bar that i supposed to hold the ribbon in is missing.

This keeps getting better and better.
I think I'll return and look for a good deal on them. LOL

What would cause the triangular errors in my print. The bit at the bottom had support there but the higher up triangles had no support and did not need any there? The other side is perfect.

Flexible resin LCD-E, it has potential...
Made up some door stops in f360
This stuff take ages to post cure. Still sticky after 3 IPA baths and 30 min under 60w UV led.
Washing in soapy water made it even more sticky.
