It me again. I vaguely remember being in a conversation about the actual build volume of the Photon, but my search-fu fails me.
Specifically, what is the maximum height an object can have to still print? Is the slicer to be trusted in this?
I have a few files I'd like to print that are in the 149 to 155 mm range, but I'm now not sure if that would work. I vaguely remember the print height being slightly below what it says in the adverts. But maybe, hopefully, I misremember?

I've seen this posted before, so apologizes. I've been using the Anycubic slicer for the past few months. I have an object that I would like to print flat on the build plate. I have printed it before and was able to add a few additional supports to handle some overhangs.

Today, when I enter into the Support menu, the object is automatically offset upwards in anticipation of automatic supports. How do I prevent this/how do I put the object back to the print bed?

Thank you!

What glues are you guys using to stick multiparty models together? Super glue?

I made 1/2 liter of my own resin last night. No, not from scratch. I added dyes to Very-Fast Bucktown Clear to create an ugly color. 90 drops of green, 40 drops of white, 10 drops of black. Looked nice while mixed, as I was going for a military green, but when printed, it just looks like a green-tinged, semi-transparent nastiness. HOWEVER, I used the exact same parameters I use for Anycubic Gunmetal Gray, and I got the best print ever on one of the most difficult prints I have! No pics right now (my phone was charging upstairs). I will post later after work. I think I've found the perfect resin for my military minis! It rivals the AC Gunmetal Gray.

Ok, i've leveled with the paper method now. The cube test turned out broken in some point due to some layers stick to the fep maybe. Don't know. I haven't touched any setting, the cube was printed from the usb as it was. On the fep i can see some strange stuff after clean with ipa. The base of the cube was too stuck that i broke it removing it. Is this bad leveling or something else?

Hello everybody! Just got my Photon yesterday. First test print came out perfectly, and a model I prepared came out nicely as well.

I've been printing with FDM for at least five years now, but this is my first resin printer. Definitely happy with the results so far.

One question I have is, what is the normal procedure you all use for starting a new print after one has just finished? Is wiping off the build plate with IPA and checking the vat for stuck resin enough?

I bought my Photon mainly for printing master models to be used in the manufacture of rubber molds. I have been using FDM prints for the last 4 years but the post processing is very time consuming! It has been a bit of a learning curve but I can at last say I am very excited and happy with the quality and detail of my first printed master! (for a soap mold). ?
