Woke up this morning to this white version. Glad to know the settings used for grey work just as good for white with the 3D-OKAY resins. Only complaint is it’s harder for my old eyes to work with the detail on the white. Not enough contrast. I’m gonna assume the same problem with black.

Just finished a long and tall print to see if the slight wavy lines I had been getting in prints, had been solved by adding a diode based current smoother between the board of the photon and the motor and I am glad to say at 0.03 they seem to have gone 0.03 was a height that made them particularly visible for me and now im not seeing the phenomena (it looked like a very slight undulation peaking every 20 layers or so and was definitely not Z wobble)

Here is a link to the exact module i fitted
Don't be fooled by the description it's not a controller it's just a current filter.
Also if you fit it make sure to insulate it with electrical tape so the solder pads can't short out inside the case of the Photon.

Here's my first test print, that didn't end up looking like a puddle. If there's not enough detail or if there's defects (like those small swirly patterns and a few lines caused by pausing) it's completely my own fault, trying to learn to use Zbrush and studying anatomy. Anycubic green resin: 0.05, 8 sec normal, 1 off, 60 sec base, 8 layers ?

Just done with bitcoin.... ...Quick question, every 3d printer should print a benchy, so should I print a benchy too on Anycubic Photon? ?

Hello Phomasters. I received my printer yesterday. Looks pretty nicely built. Vat is sturdy and beautiful and build table is pretty impressive too (sturdy and straight). Linear guide/rail could be more sturdy but what can you except.. machine costs 430€ :D (feeling tempted to change proper linear guide to the machine (ball type)

I make jewelry so cast ability is only thing that interest me about resin. Gladly i found out that my old b9 creator yellow resin works fine with the machine. Couple failed prints before i found working settings. Layer thickness is 0.025mm and cure time 15s. Might need some tuning but at least it prints.

Tip of the day: The anodized bottom surface of the build table is pretty slippery and might cause failed prints. Remove the anodization with sodium hydroxide or other strong alkali. Removing the anodic layer opens the porous surface of aluminium and alkali slightly corrodes the surface for better adhesion.

Question of the day: Photon slicer: Is there any way to adjust the position of the part in the support tool.. I mean that the support tool always pops the model up and why the hell would i want to use my print time to create supports that i might not need... Second question: Have anyone tried other programs to make the supports and slicing?

Ok, so first print failed, unfortunately - it just stopped halfway through!
I'm kinda lost, my best bet would be faulty .photon file, but would there be any way to check?

Has anyone else run into this?

So I'm ready when i get my photon, what size FEP should i get for when i need to replace it? 50, 100, 127, 128, 150? These are the sizes available at fepshop. what is the default size that comes with the photon? and why would i use a different micron size then the default micron size? Thanks

So my 9yr old son came home yesterday and saw the new printer and green resin and all he wanted was the "HULK" so dad took up the challenge. Got a feeling I got to many supports (Comments Please!) Order parts are more practical for me.... Linear rail guides for my Anycubic Delta+

Layer shifting... what do you think would cause it? FYI, I believe the layer that it shifted on, was basically the bottom of the keycap (not the bottom bottom, but right next to the stem...see other photo). I used maybe 4 light supports underneath there. I printed 4 of these and each one seemed to have the same layer shift at the same point.
