How do you get the part that goes to the bed, to be the same size? My prints always get like squished if i print directly in the bed.

I want those doors!!

3D Scanning Guy
2019-08-23 06:44:12

How long do you expose the base layers for, and how many layers?

3D Scanning Guy
2019-08-23 06:45:17

0.025mm
8 x 65s
12 sec

Michael Holt Gwrulz
2019-08-23 06:47:48

These print good in pla, yours will look AMAZING

Manuel Lea
2019-08-23 07:38:43

3D Scanning Guy i use anycubic red, and i use the default settings on anycubic slicer, at 0.1 mm layers

Peter Ede
2019-08-23 07:49:58

3D Scanning Guy 12 sec normal ?
At .02 I'm printing at 7 sec

3D Scanning Guy
2019-08-23 08:33:39

Peter Ede Whatever works for you!

3D Scanning Guy
2019-08-23 08:34:39

Manuel Lea The default settings are for 0.05 though, yeah? And do you mean 0.01mm?

Manuel Lea
2019-08-23 08:36:29

3D Scanning Guy nope, 0.1mm, what would be an appropriate time for that? Thanks in advance, btw, bed is leveled correctly

Nikko Chua
2019-08-24 04:01:01

do you use platebond?

3D Scanning Guy
2019-08-24 19:04:28

Will do mate - thanks for the amazing models! Just printing out a couple more for the green and purple ones. Printed one in transparent green that works okay, but tried mixing blue and red for a purple and it's not... great lol

3D Scanning Guy
2019-08-24 19:04:36

Nope

3D Scanning Guy
2019-08-24 19:07:14

I've never printed stuff that thick but you'd need to up the exposure times dramatically from stock. I think your problem is the layer isn't curing enough so therefore is still not that hard when the next layer comes in, hence why it squishes. Try doubling your exposure times for the base and normal and see if that cures (ha!) your issue? Then you can back them off gradually to see where the sweet spot is.

Nikko Chua
2019-08-24 20:05:01

i have not had any success on big flat surfaces like that

3D Scanning Guy
2019-08-26 01:05:22

With it adhering to the build plate? what are your bottom exposures? Otherwise sounds like your plate isn't flat with the FEP maybe?

Nikko Chua
2019-08-26 01:46:07

yes it does but 100% of the time the corners lift off.

Nikko Chua
2019-08-26 01:46:34

3D Scanning Guy
2019-08-26 03:10:26

What are your bottom layer exposure times?

3D Scanning Guy
2019-08-26 03:11:20

its kind of flattening too, which would suggest you need to up the times. What layer thickness?

3D Scanning Guy

By working in 3D scanning for 20 years and cunning use of an Artec scanner and editing software ;)

Just to be clear:

1. the new firmware does NOT work with Chitubox, only the "new_photon_s_slicer".

2. You have not yet released a MAC version of the "new_photon_s_slicer".

Therefore, as a MAC user, you should NOT update to this firmware? Correct?

Tomas Salo
2019-08-01 20:14:48

wow looks super exciting ! when i arrive home i go to upgrade immediately gj! Anycubic

Mac version slicer?

Amy Liao

Mac version slicer will be released and upload on the site soon. ❤️ ❤️

Michael Cargile
2019-08-02 09:46:17

Where is the R.E.R.F. feature in your slicer? I upgraded my firmware specifically for that and cannot find any mention of it in the software.

Sandro Montecchiani
2019-08-02 14:50:30

Hi Amy Liao , happy to hear this ! but if anyone want to goes back to previous firmware, where can we find it ? In the Anycubic website I see only the new one .... and what about R.E.R.F. ? it is an external file or it is built inside the slicer ?

Colin Morrison
2019-08-02 20:50:43

This goes for Linux too, though I did get the previous slicerbto work under Wine.

Vilius Jonaitis
2019-08-02 21:24:59

Can anyone tell my from where download it ??? Where find that Anycubic Care ???

? ?

Christopher Milnes
2019-07-31 16:02:26

do you have to hollow? guessing you just printed straight on the plate as big as possible?

3D Scanning Guy
2019-07-31 16:03:42

Gary Houser yeah as big as I could get it (36% of original?)

3D Scanning Guy
2019-07-31 16:04:51

Christopher Milnes I thought about holliwing but in the end thought I'd just stress the FEP for the early layers ?

Alessandro Rsx
2019-07-31 16:33:18

Nice, how did you manage to make a large print like that to stick to the bed and not to the vat? Parameters?

3D Scanning Guy
2019-07-31 19:41:58

Alessandro Rsx nothing special, mate. 65 sec exposure time on the base 8 layers. That's all.

3D Scanning Guy
2019-07-31 19:44:13

Alessandro Rsx p.s. I clean out my vat after every print, regardless of success or if I'm using the same resin again. Prints tend to leave a "shadow" on the FEP that (imho) needs to be wiped off between prints.

Alessandro Rsx
2019-07-31 19:51:24

Thank you! ?

The photonsters had already informed me about this as soon as it hit the web :P
why release the 4.2.18 and soon next the 4.2.19? what changed why the new iteration?

Martin Grotesk

Updates:
1. Solve the problem of no exposure
2. Solve the problem of Frame Sheering

Amy Liao

Vinicius Silva The 4.2.19 version is the newest one we get.

2019-07-25 20:49:01

What's the frame sheering issue?

Kyle Calderwood
2019-07-26 05:48:32

That's the one I have and where the file is. I had to "Print" it

Joel Evan Betker
2019-07-26 06:15:56

First warning? What? Lol

Sen Kun
2019-07-26 07:11:22

Let me interpret. He's giving anycubic a first warning regarding the complete and utter lack of updates for Photon S.

In a week, he'll issue the second warning. If there's no update following that he'll have no choice but to turn his photon S into a glorified UV wash machine.

Alessandro Rsx
2019-07-31 06:46:40

The latest firmware for the Photon S is still 2.9.9? Mine came with this version, thanks

Sadly we cant select speed and Printsize at the same time.

Sen Kun
2019-07-20 20:04:38

Nor can we select precision and size or speed. Anyway, don't understand the point of this, they can't be mutually exclusive, precision should be a priority and a given.

Sen Kun
2019-07-20 20:06:23

Anycubic should just refer to the specifications for the Photon CE special edition back in April. That's what everyone wanted.
